Soul remnant
The soul remnant is the negative emotions left behind when one dies it doesn’t matter where you go when you die the soul remnant is always left behind...
Sometimes people with strong wills and strong emotions can leave something else behind with their soul remnant such as hope, happiness, justice, etc. and these can create very powerful creatures
Depending on what negative emotion makes up the majority of the soul remnant a undead creature is born with a copy of the soul they came from it is not real and the negative emotions that caused this creature is involved in the copy of the soul and it won’t move on for they already have
There is only one soul remnant per person

currently if feels a little like the most meaningful choice i have made this whole quest was to use overwrite on a rock, and it failing creating/revealing/attracting overwritten.
Otherwise it has felt a lot like here are some side quests you can choose the order of, with their solutions being rather fixed leaving me just guessing till you either tell me the right one or i guess it.
my experience with this site is that it tends to be more interested in creative problem solving and matchmaking. so far neither of those are feeling particularly supported in this quest (not that i personally do matchmaking) so when i try things and the answer is basically just 'wrong' repeatedly when i try to use the tools i have it feels bad. particularly when it doesn't feel like it makes sense either.
This world intrigues me but, I personally am not looking for puzzles with one 'correct' answer i want to figure out a solution i can call my own. Ideally one not thought of by the puzzle maker. Zachtronics games have done this wonderfully, they give you a set of tools and tell you to make this result happen from these inputs how you do that is left entirely open to you

I kinda want to say the same about Wraithquest.
You've put so much effort into this world and its inhabitants, but no choice ended up feeling like it was "allowed". I greatly look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future, as I do believe you are invested towards creating a truly immersive Quest, but at the moment things may improve if you find a way to allow for a bit more flexibility.

that is fair those are the kind of changes that are hard to see from the outside. an important thing is limitations, right now those limitations feel inconsistent is probably closer to the problem, if something is the only solution with established restrictions then of course that will be the only solution and that's entirely fine so long as the reasoning for that being the case isn't stupidly constructed to be the case. also when 'cutscene' type things happen its probably best not to give openings for doing things, as that is when you get clever people derailing everything by not letting the villain monologue or whatever

You know funny thing
I will give you the chance to kill your opponent before they give their monologue in the middle of their monologue or if you are very clever and are able to position yourself correctly immediately after they finish their monologue
Because in real life you don’t get to read a monologue before you get killed
I mean it’s dumb your opponent is ignoring you kill him it saves a lot of trouble

Of course it can ruin the story but if your clever you can get back up and continue there are more things to explore analyze and fight secrets to be found greater powers in dormant states

Well it is possible to write a story or in real life so on and so forth for multiple paths to lead to one result so when there are many possibilities plus I haven’t even thought up an ending not for Broken the other which I may as well give you their name of Chronos Machina... he does have an ending he has a path but I left Broken under defined basically the story of Broken which may perhaps be a spoiler so (yeah after writing it this might be a massive spoiler as it does involve Broken in some way but eh read it at your own discretion) Broken was and is another version of Chronos another dimension’s version of him you have met Neutron who’s name is also Chronos Machina but is designated as Neutron as the nature of his dimension... Broken is a version of Chronos who forfeited their entire existence they wouldn’t have died no what happened was a reset of the realm of soul caused by another version of Chronos who became the other Chronos or I should designate them as Hiltkeeper Chronos well that one once known as Occulta chronos fixed the origin being known as Countdown allowing it to destroy a target to reset it so he targeted his realm of power (Occulta) and it was reset causing the erasure of many Chronoses from that realm... now he did that to delay the inevitable as he couldn’t defeat Omni a machine or program that was originally created to protect the Omniverse which is the spiritual universe of every universe combined {heaven mayhaps} but it was reprogrammed well programmed to be accurate which Ed caused conflictions to protect the omniverse and destroy the omniverse basically destroying all of existence well it reset and merged the two commands to indirectly destroy the omniverse and its slowly creeping up on the line between direct and indirect but yeah omni is the enemy Broken failed to destroy divine intervention happened to create broken as a fail safe there are secrets in him but he is not the main character that’s hiltkeeper he’s the main character and also not as he is only one of them but that’s not important

the only way Broken is not the main character of the story is if this is an elaborate prolog to the actual story. Even if Broken is not the one who is supposed to be doing the big things he is the protagonist of this story thus far.

Hunter: a hunter... comes from the monster hunter dimension got trapped on an uninhabited island full of monster with no way out until he discovered the multidimensional teleportation

Divine: DEAD in fact overkill this guy was of the Emperial species who viewed themselves as angels and whenever a portal to another dimension appears they view it as a sign from god to exterminate those who dare desecrate holy ground and kills them all their species are the natural enemy of the corrupted ... a bunch of Chronoses kill this one and some were disappointed he didn’t live longer... so they can make him suffer for the amount of suffering he caused
Corrupted: the version of Chronos of the Corrupted species don’t let the name fool you they are nice they exist is some what if a theocracy as the land chooses as queen... the land of which the Corrupted live slowly turns people into corrupted this Chronos decided to remain one... nice folk...

I made a point of mentioning sound it made sound and the heat would most likely kill anything in the general vicinity it would have made a cone shape of which Broken would be in the safe zone while everything else is destroyed also unfortunately the math is still need I’m not doing it anymore but broken is also there are different amounts of atoms in a gram of different things also I’m stupid made a mistake but yes I meant molecule not atom but also technically atoms to as the silicon and oxygen were mainly involved also the energy resulting from consumption stabilizes itself if you let it Broken left it open so it didn’t hence explosion... Broken first locates his waypoint making sure to concentrate on it being a no zone for void and the planet is gone and the broken moons seems broken was focusing to much on the waypoint to notice he absorbed the planet and it’s moons as well as some comets and meteors as well as some gases...

Because you seemed interested to what can kill Broken I was reading the wheel of time series and came across a method of doing so If Broken were to enter a dream world and fall into a persons dream he could be killed as the person who is dreaming has absolute power and rules are different in a dream... of course broken cannot enter the dream world without the help of someone or something

oh no, making dream worlds physical places is a TERRIBLE idea in your setting. That makes the dream world a desirable place to go as a factory of LITERALLY ANYTHING if you have a cooperative dreamer. Not to mention this suggests dreaming creates temporary dimensions. Where presumably when the dream ends everything is full on un-happened. Unless you mean in the Inception sense in which case why would the body die.

That’s assuming there aren’t rules in this objects created in the dream world react differently to things of the cognitive world the dream world is also not a temporary dimension otherwise broken could get there no the dream world is a separate reality sure you can get anything you want but using just the dream you would live long as food there wouldn’t fill you, sleep won’t rejuvenate you, things wouldn’t work the way they should and things from the dream reality cannot enter the cognitive reality... also it is possible to leave a dream if you fall in just don’t get caught up in it acknowledge it as not real... the dream world is strange...

The void
An infinite unending space of nothingness that waste, trash, or things ignored by dimensions end up in it is possible to fall into this unending space if you break the space-time continuum and it will want to consume you if you continuously disrupt the space time continuum as that is what the void is for it is the balancer of space and time it keeps all in check for as many life there is death for all creation there is destruction... for all existence there is void... the void is a strange place that no one can fully understand nor should try to understand it is every shifting and changing rules continuously being rewritten the further in you go the deeper into the void one is the harder it is to get out the void has 12 layers the first three are the boundaries between dimensions and are the most stable the next three are where the people who continuously mess with the space time continuum go and the bottom three are stranger the tenth level is a defensive layer for the eleventh as the eleventh level of the void is home to the one known as Fate keeper of the rivers of fate... the twelfth layer’s purpose is unknown as it is inescapable or should be for it has been claimed to have been escaped from by three people... one a destroyer who now is long dead another a pure soul and the last a knowledge keeper they have been dead for a long time so they cannot be put to the question
The void has access to a light a strange light as it emanates from the darkness of the void
The void itself seems to have emotions and though and perhaps may have a connection to the element of void if so the element would become a technical thirteenth level to the void...

Is the cognitive multi-verse and infinite multi-verse?
A dream reality is a world where knowledge is, rather directly, power. If you can get cognitive matter into dream world the reverse should be possible. Even if dream stuff can not chemically react with cognitive matter, they can collide. Thus, you could take a little button that will just detonate into dreamstuff and shove all cognitive matter away, to the point that, for practical purposes, the cognitive dimension is gone.
The only effective counter to this I can think of would be if a dreamscape quickly returns to a 'blank slate' state if it lacks a dreamer to shape it. thus taking something out of the dream-verse has it quickly return to 'nothing' as the cognitive-verse has no dreamer.
This way it is not a case of cognitive matter destroys dreamstuff (or vice-versa) or else entering the dream world would cause you to just melt everything (or be melted by everything)

The dream world does technically reside in the realm of power for mind there is also the realm of dreams in the realms of power but it would be more appropriate in this case to call it the realm of creativity... also yes that’s why the stuff from the dream world can’t come into the cognitive world it’s connected to a dreamer the whole process of the dream world is confusing but it doesn’t end... there are layers to it the mass dream the singular dreams {which count as a layer} the void {no dreams yes it is connected to the actual void and can fall into the void this way} prophetic {where all the see the future dreams happen} and the nightmares the mass dream is the top layer where people usually enter and it flips with the nightmare level depending on the singular dreams layer if the majority is nightmares or good dreams the mass dream is the culmination of all dreams it won’t go away as it is the template for dreams it is the masses view of the world like mementos but objects there are still connected to dreamers... now I talk about this because you can get in you just need help in doing so plus it can kill anything it wants
