THE OMNICLAUS CALLS TO TGCHAN!

Once again it's that time of year where TGCHAN characters go out and shop for people they've never met or heard of in the spirit of a season many of them aren't aware of!

It's time to sign up for the Secret Santa!

** CUT OFF IS DEC 12. **

** So here's the deal: **

1. Sign up one of your Quest characters. Not you, your character. This character needs to be found on TGChan. Include a link to that character's quest so your Secret Santa can quickly get the gist of said character.

** Don't sign up more characters than you think you'll have time to handle. This is supposed to be fun, not to stress yourself out because you bit off more than you could chew.
Each character requires a minimum of 2 pictures, one for choosing a gift and one for receiving. **

2. The OMNICLAUS will randomly select who your character will be playing Secret Santa for, and who will be playing Secret Santa to you.

3. Once your match has been selected, your job is to write what your character would give as a gift to the selected person. This is equal parts writing and artistry. You need to be prepared to write and draw at least one update for giving the gift, and one for receiving. You should update by DEC 25, but you can update as soon as you receive your match.

The pairings will be posted to THIS THREAD using SPOILER TAGS.

4. There are two selection points in order to cater for early and later sign-ups. DEC 5 is the first selection day. Dec 12 is the final selection day.

Some quick FAQ's from last year:

"Life happened, I can't get this done in time!"
Don't panic. The OMNICLAUS will pick up the slack on the 26th.

"What if there's an odd number of sign-ups?"
I'll draw on my own list of characters to even things up. I have plenty.

"Can I be the OMNICLAUS?"
Nobody asked this last year but if you're feeling ambitious, sure! I'll note who I'm working on.

"Can I post more than one update for my gift shopping/receiving?"
Yes! Last year we had a YouTube animation and an impressive fully coloured comic. But don't feel obligated to kill yourself.

"Why can't I just sign up myself?"
Multiple reasons. One, asking your secret Santa to pick from your characters puts more effort on them. Two, it gums up the works because it also means you can't begin to work until they've picked a character. Three, it makes it more complicated than need be.

"How does my character get the gift out?"
You can assume an interdimensional postal service, or help from the OMNICLAUS himself.

"Is there a cut-off for how many characters I can submit?"
I wouldn't recommend doing more than 3. It's more work than it sounds.

"Do I have to pick a good gift?"
The most important thing is to pick a gift that would be IN CHARACTER. Check last year's thread -- some characters took their tasks seriously, some didn't, and some gave what they thought was the best gift ever only for it to be completely trash by the other character's standards. It's up to you if you want to write for comedy or not, but as long as it's in character it's all good!

I'm going to nominate the three Victors from ROCK, a helpful but strange giant worm split into three wormy bodies. They have ridiculously, disgustingly time consuming x-ray vision that I may or may not render, depending on how much I hate myself at that moment in time. I already nominated a bear last year, and since all non-bears are equally worthless, why not use the zero personality characters I've introduced minutes ago? The poor downtrodden orphans from Withered Swamp's Home for the Unwanted probably deserve a christmas present more, but they're far too busy working the drug trade now to participate in these "holiday" shenanigans.

The address is a single rented apartment in a rundown apartment block, and opening the door reveals-

"Surprise! I don't really own much, but I heard you like pets! Don't worry, I sent nineteen others in case you're not fond of this body."
