Just a few points of clarification from the chat and a few from this thread:
1. Each character has a minimum of two updates -- one for shopping for another character, and one for their reaction at the gift they received.
2. You don't actually have to draw the character you're gifting since the gift is being sent through time and space to the target. If you want to have them meet, please discuss it with your Santa since that will take a bit more coordination. Again, it's not required so it's on you if you want to be more elaborate.
3. Yes, you can be more elaborate. You can make a 24 page comic about the trials and tribulations of getting that perfect gift, and a 24 page follow-up about how the gift the character received changed everything.
4. If you don't follow the rules, don't be surprised if you get left out. I use your handle, Wiki entry, quest and character information not only to ensure the other person has enough information to update with, but also as a check-sum to make sure nobody gets left out.
5. Your characters are completely entitled to act in-character so if they're going to be lazy about their gift selection, they can be lazy about it, but they still need to send something. There's potential comedy value in say, Nem receiving socks for humans considering she's got hooves, Nouille getting pants, or being given some sort of weird alien residue that's the equivalent of gum in the character's world and it turning out to be some sort of mutagen for the receiving character.
6. The thread will be posted December 1st in Quest Dis. The last sign-up will be the 18th, unless interest wanes earlier. I've got several characters in reserve to help even out gaps, especially if there are some really ambitious people again in Week 2, so even though you never see me post my own characters in the sign up, rest assured they'll be there as needed (Nem rounded out this week for example)
