Pink Silver Day

>Running a bank? Seems boring, no risk at all, no conflict, nothing to stir the earth-pulse. You wouldn't mind getting paid to fix the bank's geomancy though.
"No, 'sno good." I say. "It'd put me to sleep forever. No great deeds there, nothing to stir the earth-pulse. No-one's ever heard of a banker of legend."
"Hah, deep cut there Deem." Kallia says.
Hin downs a shot and then holds up a finger to make a point. "They loan people money so they can start their great deeds though."
"That's entirely too fair of you Hin, and I don't like it." I say.
>Oh, now this is the perfect opportunity for you to educate Kallia in how bullshit vaults are.
"It's not even being done right." I complain. "You know a bit about geomancy right, Kallia?"
"Uh-"
"I bet they put the treasure room right at the end instead of the center! They always do it. 'Scheap. It's not protected, it's not balanced, it's awful. They want to stifle the earth-pulse but they don't want to make the effort. And a badly placed Sealing Designation bypass to the maze because they don't want to walk the whole labyrinth. Sometimes they don't have a monster funnel either! No anchor stones, nothing adjusting the geomancy, just giant rats and dire pigeons and gutter crabs ending up in every nook and crevice around, just messy, messy."
"Gutter what?" Kallia says.
"Crabs!" I snap my thumbs and fingers together like pincers to demonstrate. "Big crabs!"
"Right, so very serious and technical and all that." Kallia says quickly.
"They could pay me to fix their crabs!" I announce.
"Rats." Hin says.
"Their crab-rats problem." I nod.
"Yeah, maybe look into it tomorrow huh Deem?" Kallia says. "Hey Hin, has she put anything exciting in at her digs yet?"
"Oh?" Hin says innocently. "There's the potion bath I guess? Permanent potions!"
Kallia looks between me and Hin, trying to work out if she's serious.
>Play a prank on Kallia. Very slowly reinforce Hin or yourself so she thinks either she's going crazy or getting shorter. Objects when drunk may be larger than they appear!
A prank on Kallia! Perfect. I could sneak some clay. Oh, there's no clay here? I'll see if Hin is in on this. While Kallia's looking away, I waggle my fingers to suggest magic, point up, point at Hin and then wink.
When Kallia looks back at me, Hin shrugs with a goofy grin. That must mean yes.
Reinforcement on Hin. Hmm. I can only use my Heart fragment, but it has to be small anyway. More sustained than what I'd normally use for a guardian but subdued. Needs something to drip feed it too, it'll add up over time. Hin's compatibility for this is high, thanks to her giant blood. Hin already has her food related ogre trick and I want it to stay up all night so I'll just tie it into that for fuel! She'll get a tiny bit taller when she eats and drinks. I start assembling and activating the correct mana channels for this. No need to rush, I can take my time.
>Gushing and friendliness!
I pat Kallia on the shoulder. "The potion's watered down. You can try the bath if you want next time you visit." I get closer. "Or you could join us and stay! It takes a few weeks to work. The one I made is to make people healthier. It helps develop body mass and improve energy levels, people ought to get a touch taller too. Figured it'd cover off on a few things." I laugh. "Moriko and Chakarchelou have been having face-offs about it since we left."
Kallia drains her mug and stares off into space contemplatively. "Gotta finish my apprenticeship though. Only a few months left. It's awful! With Merud gone I have to work!"
"Oh? Oh! Well work hard. You can do it!"
