I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

That's what happened to me. And just think, this is only possible because I was denied my position as King of a small province.
Soon, I shall be King of this entire continent.

With my loyal minions at my side, I celebrated my victory at Iniziare Citta, while omitting a few inconsequential details. I am the victor here, I shall be the one to write the history books.

A celebration was had, and all together, my underlings and I shared a common moment of elation.

Ashedel has once again left on assignment, looking for more recruits.

Finesse is staying in bed, due to her lingering illness.

Tislomer has set out on a trip to find some rare herbs from the surrounding forests, that may prove potent enough to handle my Tinker's ailment. Don't question my motives on this one -- Finesse herself requested it. I'm sure she knows what's good for her, she seems very learned in the subject.

Denlings are small magical creatures, like Imps. They lack the magical knacks of their cousins, but they make up for it with speed, stealth, and a far less flighty nature.
As you can see they're of a far more focused demeanor than you would expect an Imp to be. I can't say yet as to whether they are competent about their work, as I've yet to put them to any, but they're certainly serious about it.

I don't know exactly what to task them with.

Such vulgar thoughts. Well, I suppose that's what happens when one's mind is left to wander idly. I really should come up with a plan.
Looting the remains of Iniziare Citta seems like a bad idea. I've heard there are survivor camps there. Rumors have even reached my ears of a few do-gooders trying to organize what's left. It's a waste of time, of course. The city will take years to build back up to anything.

Regardless of how in-denial she may be, you, as a leader, must realize the virtue in saving the life of not only your most loyal subject, but your most valuable one. We want to help you, but we also want to warn you, Muschio needs some... well he needs some work. His past has so driven him that some of us fear he has little knowledge of the truer things of love.

He needs some molding, we try but he can be so... so willful at times... especially as of late. He is more prone to resist our suggestions. Every tool mush be molded for its true purpose, it must be pounded, hammered and shaped in the fires of passion. His flame is dim and smolders cold, but he has potential, he needs someone to stoke that fire.

However, I do not think that aphrodisiacs will do more that create a short lived, false flame. You want something longer and hotter than that do you not?

Yes. This will require careful planning. I suppose it's best to deliver the poisoned item with a convincing note of goodwill, perhaps from a forged sender.
But indeed, what to send? Would drink be less suspicious than tainted food, or at least more likely to be shared? Is milk a good choice, or would poison be easily noticed in the taste and coloration? How can I best make sure I've added enough to be absolutely fatal, yet also that they'll share the ingestion?

Oh, this is more complicated than I had realized.

As long as it's there before they see the table, they'll just assume that the Goblins set it out for them right? And bonus points if there actually is a salad there to begin with.

Choice of medium is easy, at least. Send a bottle of wine. Wine is always shared. Wine is rather strong flavored, so at worst they'll think it's an odd vintage. Make sure it has no label as something they'd recognize, and you're golden.

Too bad we didn't bring any of the arsoncats back with us to test these questions.

It need not be a fully fatal dose, though, Big M. If we slip in just the right amount to weaken them in battle, our own team should be able to take them. This has the added effect of proving OUR superiority to the Goblins. We might even get new recruits out of this.

Use a somewhat weaker poison, so it will make them weak and lethargic, or induce an altered mental state. That way, instead of killing them outright, it will let you or an underling off them, without the risk of accidentally poisoning yourself, or the two not sharing it.

Yes! Very well then, wine shall be the mode of transportation. I haul up just about all the alcoholic beverages we have on hand -- with a preference for wine, and making sure not to touch Babrakus's personal supply -- I collect several bottles of wine, about a half dozen, some of different types.

I bring them to Tislomer.
"Tislomer!"

"I have a special, urgent request."
>"Oh, boss, I don't-"

And in the course of just over an hour the poison has been manufactured, administered, and sent for deployment. Pathos will leave it on the poor fool spy's doorstop. It will be shared with their leader -- whoever this is spying on me.

This is a truly brilliant tactic. I strike silently, from the shadows, and before my pursuer is even aware that I am aware of THEM!
They think themselves safe and nestled in the security of that village, hunting me.
We shall see who is the hunter, and who is the hunted.

And so, Muschio decides to become a prosecutor.

...when the hell did we decide that this was at all Finesse's doing? I think it's fairly obvious that she wouldn't want Muschio dead, and, if this was anything but an accident, that it had to have been one of our other recruits.

Though, I still agree that, once this resumes, we should focus on saving Muschio and his giant nose.

Ha! I don't believe that for a secondl I'm sorry, but standing around and calmly saying "I'm sorry it had to be this way" is NOT the response you're supposed to have when someone collapses on the ground and starts LEAKING BLOOD FROM ORIFICES THAT SHOULD NOT BE DOING SO.

-She said that when he only had a nosebleed.
-She meant "I'm sorry I had to drug you in order to bone you."
-Why would she get all dressed up if she intended on killing him right away?

Also, before anyone says it, we should probably take this to the discussion thread.

It's possible, of course, that she just thought that the nosebleed was a side affect the aphrodisiac and apologized when she thought he realized what was going on... then panicked and fled when he fell to the ground and started bleeding out.

Really? ANd praytell, what happens when the "Aphrodesiac" wears off? She expects Muschio to just go "HO HO, Finesse, you're such a joker!?" I'm going to go ahead and give her a little credit and assume she isn't that stupid.

Obviously, getting dressed up was part of the ruse. As far as the rest of the minions know, we went on a picnic. She can return and make up any story as to what happened to us that she wants to, and it'll probably seem legit.

Also, she's still just standing off to the side, a comfortable distance away, while Muschio is lying in a pool of his own blood.

That is where we come in. We know the truth. We can quell the rage.

recognize that we didn't know what she said when Muscio collapsed

We don't know true intentions yet...
We need someone to inspect through... We can reach one of the others (Fineese should know THAT) and let them know.

If she were that smart, she'd know this. The dressing up and everything was more than enough to deceive us if this were true... but what'd Fineese have against Muschio. we have nothing to prove her guilt.

The only thing we CAN do though, is obtain the assistance of the others. Consequences can be dealt with later.

We are a floating eye, so we know more than everyone else.

We are going to support her on this... dammit man, we 'are' her childhood imaginary friend.

She knows that we know that she wants him (inside of her) that we and approved of the idea. It was assumed that we would step in and steer Muschio her way, after she used the aphrodisiac to 'color' his perception of her.

If she had wanted him dead there were so many easier ways to kill him. She could have rigged up a hidden poison needle in his wristbow to kill him when he tried to use it if she wanted him dead.

This was a mistake, just take a look a Ridder and Sticks and anyone can tell that the drugs got mixed up. Her poor choice of words was asking how he felt (was he getting horny yet?) and how long she's been waiting for this (to get boned!)

He only started vomiting blood and passed out after his senses were wrecked, we can hardly take what he saw of her 'reactions' to the true nature of his plight as representing what was actually going on around him.

'We' must surely investigate what was going on her, and we will. If we want to we can just dredge though her memories and those of our other minions to discover what happened, I am reasonably confident this was all just a terrible mistake.

I still put forward the idea that this is how Muschio, Devil and a man who has cut his mind out to place it within an orb to help him thing, reacts to love.

Remember who we work for first and foremost. Its not the goblin traitor. Our duty is to err on the safe side and keep Muschio safe.

Our negligence has already taken us perilously close to failing that.

Our interactions with Finnie actually predate those with Muschio (those we remember anyhow.) Remember her calling us Mojo?

I would not go around calling anyone a traitor to the cause until we have all the facts together. As fun as it is to cry Heresy we must be calm and collected about this. The situation is deeper than it seems and there are multiple interpretations and multiple suspects.

We must not send Muschio on some kind of crazed 'stone the witch' path until we have more proof.
