>You don’t have any money with you? Then I guess you can’t buy a watch to keep track of time. Not yet anyways.
Hopefully working for Officer Nibbles pays. Then I'd have two sources of income.
>Sit on the bench in here. Even if you can’t go in, you can at least listen to the music of whatever band is on stage.
>Sit at bench, continue to study.
>Use whatever studying tricks you learned in college to help you study these books.
I had a lot more time than roughly two days to study for my tests. Less considering I'll probably have to work tomorrow, though maybe not? It was pretty quiet at the candy store with Sharcole the other day. Maybe I can squeeze some study time in at work?
>Not sure you should be studying them cop-books in public if you don't want other people to know you're becoming an undercover snitch.
>They won’t know that Candy’s going to be undercover. These are books to study in order to get a permit to carry enchantments.
The books are to help me study for a test to qualify for the job, or that's has how Officer Nibbles made it sound to me. Getting the job means getting the permit though. I guess in a way I am pretty much studying to get that permit. So far, none of these books seem to really give away what I might be reading them for. They've just been books about laws here in Talvi, gun safety, and enchantment safety. I feel like if anyone asked, I could find a way to spin things around and say it's for something else.
I'm starting to procrastinate and lose focus aren't I? Alright, focus. I sit down on the little bench and pull out one of the books. This one seems to talk about the enchantment laws?
> Maybe tell us some important details?
Skimming through, there's a lot of rules and procedures I'm probably going to have to know and follow, like this odd one? "By royal decree, all officers maintain the power to confiscate any un-registered enchantments and arrest anyone failing to provide proof of a legitimate license or permit."
Good thing I'm on Officer Nibbles good side, otherwise I- oh hang on, there's a sticky note on the next page.
"Due to the case of the Arbell Family vs The Royal Court, this decree has since been re-written and revised. It now reads as follows: 'By royal decree, all officers maintain the power to confiscate any non-medical enchantments and arrest those failing to provide proof of a legal license or permit. Those without a license or permit found or claimed to be carrying medical enchantments are to be brought to the nearest hospital for evaluation to obtain one and fined. Those who are unable to pass an evaluation can be punished up to double the standard.'"
Wow, that's- oh hang on. There's another sticky note by that one as well.
"Yet another addition was made to this decree: 'All officers who overstep this decree and perform unlawful searches and arrests may face from twenty years up to life imprisonment.'"
I've never heard of that court case? It had to of happened recently enough that they had to put a sticky note about it in this book at least. That or, they couldn't get an updated version of this book?
The next few pages talk about the process about getting search and arrest warrants, pretty standard-
