> Don't mention the fact that you are starting to develop powers but let him know that you are pretty sure the ferals have kidnapped Aiden for some horrible cult thing. They think he is some sort of reborn hero or something and not in a good way. They want to "absorb" his "powers" or something and you can guess how long he will live through whatever that is.
"Chief, listen. There are crazy things going on, and these things may become a widespread danger for our entire population, both in the Upper City and here," I say. The Chief gives me his full attention. "Sergeant Aiden. He has been taken, and he is of great importance to the feranthro cult."
"Feranthro cult?"
"Yes. Sergeant Schar carries a 'power' that they crave. They plan to extract it and use it against us."
"Sergeant Schar," the Chief gazes downward thoughtfully. "He has recently gone missing."
> Get him up to date on the abominations and how several of the feral leaders seem to have dangerous levels of psychic powers. We might not be able to officially work on stuff right now but if the police leave everything to the milita there will be a bloodbath on one side or the other shortly.
I try to explain to him everything I can about the madness I've seen and alien memories I somehow recall.
"...and there will be a full-scale war across our entire island. Many will fall victim to the struggle. We may be heading towards self-destruction if we continue to let the Militia do what they want."
> Finally tell him you found someone is planning to contaminate the supply of Astoga soon. You are not sure how or when but they seem to have agents all over the place. If people in the upper city start turning into ferals or floating horror monsters we would be looking at city wide panic.
"We already know the feranthros have some sympathizers and spies in our midst. They're already planning a larger sabotage."
"Sabotage?"
"They want to poison our Astoga supplies." The Chief reels back at this, looking flabbergasted.
"Ridiculous. Where are you basing this from?" I realize that it might not sound very viable referencing from some random anthro, but I cannot make up an excuse. I hope that he will believe me.
"A supporter leaked it to me." He sighs and cups his palms on his face. "Chief, you need to believe me. We cannot just ignore something like this, even if it might be a ruse."
"What do you want me to do?" he asks. I'm taken aback by him asking me this.
"We have to communicate to the Premier that we want to help!"
"You should know he's already made up his mind about us by this temporary layback. I would be putting everyone's careers at risk if I were to try to go over his head and send my men over." I sigh deeply and try to think.
"Does he not trust us?" I think aloud.
"Perhaps if you are sure of what you say, there may be something we can do," I look up at the Chief, surprised that he's actually sharing my stance. "An undercover job. You claim to be good at those, yes?"
I just grunt, not believing him at first. "The biggest thing is getting to the Upper."
"The gates are guarded, for sure," the Chief says, sitting back in his chair. "A lure may be the best option, although right now I cannot think specifically."
"Well, they don't like feranthros, that's for sure," I say, meaning to sound funny, but then we stare at each other with mutual realization.
"You're correct. They don't." Unfortunately, I haven't made friends with any feranthro that would be willing to deal with the Militia, in fact, I haven't made any friends at all...or have I?
