Perhaps one day you will find members of a Lesser Race that can do as they are damn well told.
But that day is not today...

What did you tell the member of a lesser race to do that they didn't?

And I assume those are smells you perceive around you? You tracking someone or something?

...odd, you thought you heard some one talking but your the only one here. other then the Blue-WRONG of course...

No matter, there are more important things to deal with then Incorrect thoughts of voices.
You turn your attention back to the scents before you, Two-Large-Ears scent is the strongest, her sickness standing out amongst the sterile air with a sharp red while One-Arm-Large-Tail's gentler yellow scent is alot harder to track, but you can still see where she stood talking to Two-Large-Ears if you concentrate.

You think for a moment, pondering whether you should follow them or examine their cells.

What kind of sickness do you smell upon the red long ears?

Stick your head in their rooms to see if there's anything of interest (or more likely, to dismiss the frivolous and ridiculous alien junk you find). Then you should probably follow them.

What's that on the wall to your left? It looks like a simplified version of Large-Ears or One-Arm's faces.

Large-Ears' scent is so strong you can afford to take a bit of time to examine their cells. Perhaps there will be a mystery scent that doesn't match or something else odd.

And what is Large-Ears' sickness? For that matter, how can you diagnose what's a sickness in a species you've just met... You haven't just met their species, have you?

Interesting. Tell us about it while you investigate their cells.

can you smell long-ears better because you took her hat?

Either way you may as well check out there cells seeing as there smells aren't going to get up and walk away on us.

You consider the pattern on the screen, for unknown reasons it has been appearing more and more frequently throughout this deck. Strange, as you examine it you find yourself thinking of it as a Face, despite the fact that it in no way resembles even the simplest drawing of a face.

You find yourself pondering the sickness within Two-Large-ears and its nature, but quickly force those thoughts from your mind, it is not your function to examine and explain events, only to observe them and record, all other activity is INCORRECT and WRONG.

You decide to examine the cell's in order to distract from the INCORRECT thoughts, starting with your's. While crude replica's of Aius technology are rage inducing insults, you cant help but feel re-assured by the strong and CORRECT green scent that emanates from them.

Next is the cell of Two-Large-Ear's and like all human dwellings it is offensive in its design, this cell alone could fit six Aiu's and much equipment, but the space is wasted on such INCORRECT notions as Plants and small scraps of wood. Your not really sure Why she would arrange the wood scraps around a small computer, but little of what lesser races do makes sense to you anyway.

One-arm-large-Tail's cell is even worse, Personalized storage space? Frivolous comfort? Clothing? Useless, INCORRECT, Wastes of time and resource's, you wonder if you should even bother going in to loot the places..
>>
No. 581041 ID: 2ff89f

The wood scraps are odd but the computer might have something useful on it. Is the brown smell around it just the smell of that extremely suspicious looking plant-thing in the corner?

You examine the small computer, its a little hard to do however as you only have the right side of your face, the left side having been removed by the science caste to see what happens when you remove half a head.

Thats... even less useful then you thought it would be, it seems to be displaying nothing but jumbled garbage and the key board seems to have lost most of its key's and gained a flower..

Your starting to have a very bad feeling about this situation, a feeling compounded by the bizarre plant in the corner, it's scent is the normal plant brown but sometimes youll catch a trace of circuitry silver and some strange color you dont recognize..

"Engine Room Control Panels(?) Obey"

So what effect does missing half your face have other than having a huge blind spot?

Watch out for that plant it keeps changing and I think its up to no good. Something is corrupting the ship rapidly and you should probably work on finding and safeguarding your "guests" before it gets to them.

You really can't blame someone for not doing what they are told when the ship is starting to dissolve around them. Its simple self preservation to avoid perceived danger. If you lock a bunch of primitives up and then scare the crap out of them of course they will panic and make a mess of things.
>>
No. 581159 ID: 9ddf68

eh nothing in this room but things that are wrong so we have no need to be here. Let's see what else is on this ship so we may record it and see just how wrong it is. That and this room is getting a little creepy.

>You consider the pattern on the screen, for unknown reasons it has been appearing more and more frequently throughout this deck.
The usual reason for an image to start flashing on multiple screens is some kind of warning. An increase in frequency might mean the danger is closer, or growing in intensity.

Unfortunately, as you do not know what the symbol means, you do not know what the potential risk is, or if it is even a threat to you.

>INCORRECT notions
>Useless, INCORRECT, Wastes of time and resources
In their defense, their rooms may be filled with crude replicas as well. They're not to blame for the full extent of how incorrect their rooms are.

>a trace of circuitry silver
Some kind of corrupting influence? Perhaps that's the threat.

[[edited for god awful spelling..]]

Your sudden bout of self-talking combined with the tree's rapidly changing form are the final signs that this area is no longer safe even for you, while normally you would face any new threat with tooth and claw you are alone here and cannot risk losing any advantage you have on suicide attacks.

You quickly scuttle out of the cell and follow the two humans Scent's to what appears to be a large lift, a pool of ichor is drying in the corner gives out a pleasant deep green scent, while the rest of the room is dominated by the mingled scent of Two-Ears and One-Arm as well as a new, bitter scent that you recognize as being of Feg origin

You examine the satchel and find it contains nothing but a few cloth scraps and some human food, while human food is a good source of nutrition the chemicals they pump into it make it unsuitable for consumption for a surprisingly long time, often whole months will pass before it has rotted to the sufficient level.

Extracting your head from the carrying device you find yourself assessing your stored data regarding the Feg.
A lesser race on the brink of promotion to Minor, the Feg are a tri-gendered species hailing from the planet Tulkunta, a world where pollutants reached such a level that the whole ecosystem was forced to evolve to ustelise them in some way leading to a incredible resistance to toxins of all kinds, as well as a unique Hydro-carbon based ecology.

There main political structure is a series of city states that have independent laws and cultures competing among themselves for contracts and trade rights in the planets main industry, the disposal of hazardous waste and the decommission of star ships. A promising people, they may go far in time..

Examining the control panel you find One-arm's scent as well as the feg's trace a path that leads from this deck, up through what should be the Science deck (If your memory of Alvari ship layouts is uncorrected that is) through the engine room to the living space, strangely they dont seem to have gone to the command deck at the top of the ship. Odd.

investigate the engine room, and then perhaps they went to the living area to restock on food, considering you have the bag they had their food in.

You decide to head to the engine room first. in case they broke anything as Lesser species are want to do, when the door opens your almost overwhelmed by the sheer amount of blue-WRONG seeping up from below.

The Bitter blue-WRONG scent floods your nasal passages, sparking connections locked off in your mind and unlocking hidden orders buried deep within you. Activating Entangled communications devices within you, you report the situation back to your hive, abandoning your persuite of the humans in favor of the new orders that command you to explore the depths of the engine room.

Clambering onto the side of the spire you begin to head downwards towards the Blue-WRONG, you travel for what feels like hours, the scent growing stronger and stronger as you approach your destination.

As you gaze at the thing below you, new orders unlock in your mind, simple and pleasing, two words that speak to your most basic of needs ans instincts.

Kill everyone.
