Dozens of hours pass, and Alison spends it worrying about Mako. Once she feels like she wouldn't be bugging the Glitcher, she heads off to see if he can't do something.

Hence, she finds herself in his workshop, giving him a greeting, asking about the progress on teleporting her house and, more importantly, to see if he can't find the enforcer that took Mako's ghost, or any sort of workaround. He says she'll be the first to know, after himself, when either is accomplished. Something on the back wall makes a snapping noise before he can elaborate. Alison almost asks if that is supposed to happen, but the Glitcher gives her the answer first.

oh, duel each other while heading to the teleporters, so that in case they are down, Alison will be able to use her device for the remaining 10 people. Find out who else is here, and leave space for them.

Then get everyone out and let's teleport to the safe zone at the teleporters. Cut everyone's system member status if they think it will reveal our location.

Also our protectors should be protecting Alison, Scholar, and Smuggler on every attack round, just in case.

Start resurrecting Tier 2s and have them go get the Enforcers to the teleport room. And have someone go get the Watcher, too.

Scan them, are boons re-enabled? If so they need to sell No-Absorb NOW.

Tell them in order to escape they need to be killed and absorbed. We should have enough red gloves to kill all five right now. Red-Glove them with people sure to win if possible. Ask if there is enough time to visit the other sections as we don't want to leave Watcher and the Teleporters behind.

You and Scholar start spawning Atlas and Charles and the next turn 4 tier 2s. We need SPEED. Since all the tier twos have red gloves we can pass them along and garuntee double kills. Just to ensure everyone gets out.

Tell them to grab EVERYBODY and get to the teleporters, whether they want to go or not!
And don't forget Watcher!
Go to the teleporters and give them Smuggler's Safe Zone location. Everybody out! No exceptions!

Also ask if Shopkeep Baron can enable your merchant boon. If we can sell their no-absorb boons Alison can split up with Snuggler and cover twice the rooms.

Actually, we're supposed to send them to safe zone 1499778.

I know, get the Supervisor to get across the light trails and then use Summon Allies. That'll speed us up by several turns. Even better if she can call the Enforcers with it.

We do want to visit the other rooms if they aren't empty, so we should ask that.

Alison asks who else is around. Supervisor says that this is it, other than the watcher. The enforcers are hanging back, they may come to the teleporters as well. The teleporter operator(s) will come, but they're still in the teleport room.

>Visit other rooms
They say they are as featureless as the administrators, they merely have functions that work invisibly, such as the keycard working with the admin room.

Boons are still disabled, so she can't resurrect. Recluse reminds Alison that they still may be system members, and without knowledge of how to cut it, they shouldn't come back to the sanctuary.

So Alison tells them to get to the teleporter, whether they want to go or not. Otherwise, Alison can kill and absorb them, but they say they're fine with running. There's enough time to get to the teleporters, but not enough time to dawdle. So Alison wishes them well and which number safe zone to teleport to, and teleports all 10 of her party back to the sanctuary.

The Engineer is there waiting. All the other raiders are still gone and fighting, but he says that the observatory is finally finished. She can take the first look in, now. Also, shortly before she came back, the living light trail died out. Not just dimmed, but went limp, and is looking a bit out of place now.
>>

head back to Alison's bracket's safe zone. Unless it's like the start of the current superfast cycle.
>>

Lets look through the observatory, we're specifically looking for anything out the ordinary and maybe locating other sanctuaries. Then we should head to the Corrupter to report. We succeeded completely. All the people in the System Bracket but the Administrator decided to defect. And he died just to get a message out to the other brackets that it was war. Apparently no one was listening to him at all.
>>
No. 434613 ID: b85f8c

Inform him that we killed the Administrator of that one, and the entire thing is shutting down.

We need to report to Corruptor first, not look at the observatory. Though, I suppose someone else in our party can do that. Duelist, perhaps, since he was there for all of it.

They synched time up.
First send word to Corrupter about what happened, and tell him where the survivors got off to. Have Glitcher try to find a way to tell if somebody is still connected to the system or not.
After that? Who knows; nobody planned this far in advance!

But everyone worked so long and hard at it. We should be the first to look through it so we can give them the praise it deserves.

Wait, so every one of those is a system bracket? That's really interesting, actually. It might mean we're living near system space, which would make it very easy to find more brackets to raid. Let's go look through the telescope before reporting in, if there's something interesting there we can add it to our report instead of going back to make a second one.

Alison still is early on in a new cycle of frozen time, so it would be a waste of many hours, possibly crucial ones, to go back now. While the system synced up to the sanctuary, the legal safe zones still appear frozen. Alison sends Mako to report to the Corruptor, as she goes looking through the observatory.

When she narrows down on one, it first just appears to be a tangled web, presumable light trails, indicating that the light trails in the sky are actually a collection of many entangled light trails. But there is a green light that she ends up seeing, along with a few strands of active, tiny light trails, so she pans up to that.

434618

There are some light trails, and outlines of some basic layouts that she can just make out.

She says it looks almost identical to the system's layout.

Engineer says that if that's the case, then those aren't just light trails in the sky. They are the actual system brackets - like the legal safe zone showed stars that were other contestant brackets, this area has collosal light trails that are other system brackets, and all of them have been smack in the middle of the system's universe!

Friendgy, coming from the observatory's roof, is yelling down, saying that 3 sky light trails just activated.

Arbiter is still alive.

She zooms in as far as she can. It looks like the 5th safe zone. The figures she sees are frozen, but the light trails connecting the islands are still on.

Engineer says that if those really are our safe zones, then because we can see all the other safe zones, those system brackets in the sky must bend time and space in that regard.

Friendgy yells back that 5 more system light trails have turned on. Furthermore, the Arbiter is back, and he wants to check in on Alison.

Alison calls the Arbiter up, and he offers a hug as he explains what happened. He did beat the administrator, and now there are two limp light trails. Arbiter offers a hug, Alison takes it. She does tell him to look through the telescope to see what is going on.

She also calls Scanner up, to try and scan them since she can at least see their figures. Alison goes upstairs to take a look at the sky while Arbiter finishes looking himself.

It has gotten hard to look at. Scanner yells from below that she found Smoke, that that is our bracket. They're alive, at least. Within minutes, there are only a few dimmed light trails remaining.

Boons reset! Alison will have to pick 3 boons to keep.

Boons to keep:
Ressurection, which, according to Lagotrope, is Alison's only boon not backed up by Snuggler.
Double Attack
Retroactive

These are the ones I feel are most important to keep going onward for general situations. She can have allies keep boon or ability absorb. But the important things are double attack, resurrection, and making sure when she absorbs someone, that their ghosts aren't lost in the process.
>>
No. 434632 ID: b85f8c

>>434630
Keep Resurrect, Retroactive, and Double Offense.

We need to work on a light filter for the observatory so that we can look at the apex. That is probably where the Upper Management is.

At any rate, we've stirred up the bee's nest. The best solution to this is to convince some other bracket's Administrator that we can be allies, not enemies. They can spread the word and get other brackets to back us, calling off the attack and giving us a bit more breathing room.

OOOR we could start recruiting more people from more brackets and use the Wall of Flesh tactic against attackers.

Or just heavily fortify while still going on the attack against other brackets.

Also I think someone should start researching weapons. Specifically, weapons that work at ranges beyond what people can normally use in freeroam sections. Heck, we need a lot of freeroam research done.

Alison: Recursive, Resurrection, Double Offence
Mako: Float, Block, Ability Absorb
Iso, Clarence: Float, Block, Boon Absorb
Recluse: Recursive, Float Block
Healer: Heal Range, Float, Ability Absorb
Scanner: Item Selection Cancellation, Float, Boon Absorb
Atlas: Double Movement 1-2, Ability Absorb
Strongarm: Double Movement 1-2, Boon Absorb
Gaurdsman: Float, Double Offence, Ability Absorb
Bandit: Double Move 1-2, Boon Absorb
Scholer: Block, Resurrection, Recursive
Snuggler: Block, Float, Double Movement 1

Reasoning:
We WANT new boons and abilities as we encounter them no matter what which means we have to be able to absorb them no matter our line up, even if its just Alison, Scanner, Iso and Mako. Resurrection also HAS to be paired with recursive in order to be effective.

Is that a rule change, or did Lago just forget that Alison was already stated to be able to rebuy it? >>/questarch/421220

Not that we should get rid of it regardless, being able to resurrect people is right up there with hugging for us.

>>434637
If boon absorb is sellable, then there's no reason for resurrection to be locked. I don't think it's sellable.

>>434634
I agree with this except A) Recursive doesn't really do much of anything without Resurrect and B) Throw is more useful than Block on our protectors.

Duelist should get Throw instead of Block there... and Double Move I instead of Float, as if you ask me it's important for our protectors to be mobile and able to ensure other folks are either within protection range or out of danger.
Recluse should have the same boons as Duelist, really, unless he wants to hang on to Retroactive just so his dream has more ghosts in it. In that case I'd lose Boon Absorb.
>>

Alison recursively has everybody absorbed by people she has absorbed.
With infinite CU we could resurrect and empower thousands upon thousands of people. Almost every person ever.

The best part? We can tell them they don't have to be soldiers. We have a society that needs more than just soldiers, like miners and construction workers.
>>
No. 434643 ID: 886a4d

>>434641
Ya the reason I left recursive on Recluse was because thats a central part of him. He wants to have everyones ghost just like Alison wants to save everyone.

As for block on protectors the reason I picked that is because eventually they will be so worn down that they will have to stop protecting and then people will target THEM. They need to stay alive while they heal. The more damage they can absorb the better.
>>
No. 434644 ID: f793db

Alison and Scholar need recursive.

She has the ghost of everyone under her, except Scholar. Recursive means that, even if her friends don't have recursive she still benefits from it when they absorb people, she still gets everyone they absorbed, and everyone those absorptions absorbed, and so on.

I'd want Recluse to keep it though, Because recursive absorb meshes with his desires as a person.

And boon/ability absorbs should be mixed around the group. Maybe focused on individuals who have both, in case we encounter a situation where we'd want both a boon and an ability from someone.

Alison confirms with the others that the ping was sent to everyone downstairs, which was the case. Alison keeps Resurrection, Double Offense, Retroactive. She can still change her mind for the most part later, and although the shopkeep doesn't have overall access to publicly sold resurrection, she has lone access to purchasing boons she once had access to. And so she can sort out who else keeps what boons later.

In any case, she thinks to herself about future plans while still at the top of the observatory, but is interrupted again less than a minute later by another ping.

Replacing boon... searching history... alternative from old chest found. Alison has gained Ghost Talk!

Another ping immediately follows. This time, what chatter she hears in the background of the corrupted sanctuary falters into silence, effectively confirming that everyone else can hear this new ping as well.

Well, if ghosts can contact you uninvited, that means we can use it for an effective communication system. Although we can't expand the net any further without resurrection.

Now, the interesting thing is this tells us someone in the system has read / write access to abilities. We get to that, we could add or erase anything we wanted (possibly. It's probably a lot easier to delete things than to code them from scratch).

This is also the first time the system's fought us as well, a system, instead of coming after us with player side mechanics. I say that means it's time we answer in kind. No more relying solely on system mechanics for this fight. We need to fight *dirty*. Time to start experimenting with weaponized glitches.

Well this is going to get awkward when we get back to the levels. The best solution I can think of is to start offering free Sanctuary transport while still in the level safe zone, as simply killing and rezzing them isn't an option anymore and teleporting in the stages is risky. It is going to get rather crowded in here...

Fortunately our ludicrous CU count means we won't need more allies than exits in order to defeat anyone who will not cooperate.
>>
No. 434667 ID: c7f8fb

The biggest immediate problem is this broke our infinite CU generator. Corrupter can't farm CU with battle absorption and resurrection without resurrection. Hope Corrupter got enough to last us a while before the plug was pulled.

Forces wise, callous as this may sound, we've okay. We have a pool 0f ~800 people to draw on (not counting the other houses) and the flexibility to replace / replicate builds of people if and when they die. Anyone who does die is trapped in our head-space, but still survives. Sucks for everyone already in there though. It may also be tougher to recruit new people without the tempting offer of resurrection immortality.

The bigger issue is if it upsets the social order. Just how loyal are our house-mates if we can't guarantee resurrection?

The other big concern is that ghost talk better come with a mute button. Alison's got ~8000 people in her head (our house is ~800, and we only elected to resurrect about 10% of the ghosts). Not being able to shut them up could be a crippling problem. Being able to drive the rebellion's leadership insane would actually be a harder blow by the system than just depriving us of resurrection.

I really hope we can use it to summon our dead one at a time as floating miniature ghost advisers though. It'll be adorable, and give our dead limited ability to interact with live friends.
>>
No. 434668 ID: d6324a

It looked to me like just Alison lost Resurrection, not everyone. So Corruptor should theoretically still be able to do the infinite CU trick.

Fortunately we are on relatively good footing for the moment in that regard, as the people we rezzed are the fairly trustworthy ones and we have been paying them with decent wages (though that income stream might be significantly diminished now with the new risks involved inc chest running).
Some of the other leaders like Swordbane are likely in for a lot of trouble soon though.

Does the shop boon "Block Resurrection" still exist? Does Rend? They seem like they would be useless now.

>all brackets light up
Does that mean that all the time dilation is gone?

Be glad that our house is in a separate area from the other houses, because it is going to be chaos there soon.
