Oh! Well it is quite about time you decided to stir, it's been an age since we had you placed there.I told them choosing a Dragon was going to be a hassle....

Young Hatchling, we have been waiting the vessel of your souls development, and it seems you are finally ready to begin life anew! You must crack the shell Hatchling, push with all your might and free your will upon this wretched ball of dirt and despair!

But doesn't having a full stomach and good feelings just make you so... drowsy? As if you could just lay down right now and rest a short while?

If it doesn't, then it might be a good idea to explore the rest of your home, and wrestle your brother to the floor to establish your dominance.

Hey, you. Stop by the IRC sometime, if only to announce your updates. There's quite a few people who, for the lack of a better word, squee whenever you post an update.

MOTHER.

She is massive. There's the most beautiful frill around her head, her eyes glow a rich green. I love her. The cave is full of scent, burnt wood and clear sky and age and wisdom and greatness, all things MOTHER is, things I will be. MOTHER has the sky, the cave, the food, the knowing everything. She floods my mind with word and thought and picture and freedom to stretch and grow and collect.... I love her. MOTHER.

DAUGHTER.

brother is lesser than her and I. He smells of egg and softness and confinement. MOTHER though males to me many time in the egg, they do not fly, and will never know the openness and beauty clarity of the sky. We must tolerate them, they are slow of mind so they do not realize how empty they are compared to a proper Dragoness.

KINDNESS. SIRE WAS GOOD.

MOTHER is loud as she is large, but it makes my head feel full song and vitality. Perhaps I don't care for males yet as I am so fresh from the shell, I don't mind really.

I want to grow, quickly if possible, so I may fly free and not burden MOTHER. She deserves the space of the cave and the safety and warmth and smells all together more than I do. It is not fare of me to deprive her of that.

yes, but be wary of trying to grow faster then you really are. leaping from a cliff because you think you can fly when you still cannot, will not do. you will grow when you can.

To grow, you must eat, and to eat you must hunt! But you are yet small, so you must start small. Hunt in the cave for creatures much too small for MOTHER to bother hunting, but just right for you. Creatures like bugs, rodents, and little snakes. Bring BROTHER to hunt with you as well.

I suppose MOTHER knows what is best for me. Surely she would let me know if I was imposing, she is not one for lie by omission, of that I am sure.

I take a deep breath, expanding my chest to its limits, and attempt to breathe anything but air. I manage a hissing sound, startling brother. My wings are of fine form so fresh from the shell, they will carry me far once they develop, but I am too young for sky and sun and freedom quite yet. My claws are small, not terribly sharp either, I think I could get up a wall if need be though. May the Gods help whoever is dumb enough to corner a Dragon.

I do need to grow, quickly. MOTHER has no need for the small rats and vermin scurrying about the cave, I would be doing a service in removing them! I walk past MOTHER, lightly brushing my scales across her as I do. She gives off that humming noise. Warm and safe and never in danger noise....

brother is hesitant to follow, giving me a worried look. I batter him about the head with my tail, he seems more willing on my second start off.

Hm. It appears I can indeed climb! It's not difficult at all once I start going to get my whole length wrapped around a stone-spear, I can even grip with my tail.

No prey shall escape me.

Rats! Filthy creatures clogging up MOTHER's cave, choking the clean warm burnt air with the smell of their refuse. I spy a fat one, probably so rotund from nipping at MOTHER's meals that she labored for! I pounce at the retched thing.

It is much quicker than I thought.

I dive and grab out with my foreclaws, blocking it from sinking its yellowed fangs into my soft underbelly, deflecting its blow with my already thickening scales. brother is useless, cowering over the ledge. I can hear his whimpered cries over the scuffle.

Eventually I grasp the rodent by the neck, snapping is across the floor. I will not share with a coward.

(Don't drink and draw)

hmph. it's not your brother's fault really, he is just a useless male after all. eat it and give him any parts you don't want. if he helps you then he gets a tastier part. will train him to at least help you do things not sit there and watch.

You might have to train him to help you. He definitely has a much less aggressive nature than you do.

Yes, bother must be shaped into being useful. Command him to hunt, make him hunt, chase and bite at him to push him to do it if you must. If he will fear, let him fear you and not these filthy things.

As if feeding a beggar ever made him leave! brother can go out and risk his own tender-side if he wants to eat. I swallow the rat down in a bite or two, it's not a huge meal, but it fills my stomach all the same. I must say I relish in being fed, truly it's a wondrous state to be in, giving the mind time to wander and plan and think. already I feel my scales scratching with a need to expand. MOTHER tells me we will grow quickly here in our first few weeks. Before long we can leave the nest, see the Sun... live.
>>
No. 424896 ID: 132b99

find a smaller and weaker rat and try to make your brother fight it. if he wins he gets to keep it, if he runs away then you kill it and split it in half. you will only feed him if he at least tries to fight for himself. and he can't run away from looking at it, needs to get bit or something.
>>
No. 424924 ID: 6d1ffc

Yes, find a rat that can not harm him much, and get him to fight it, even if he is weaker he will still need to hunt things.

Play-fighting! A marvelous way to warm the little fear-ridden lump into bravery! If he feels he can hold against me, surely a rat or some other small prey will not intimidate him!

I pounce, pinning him down gently enough, rolling end over end further down the cavern. I end up on top, grinning down, fresh rat gore dripping from my fangs. Perhaps the smell of blood will get his hearts thumping as mine do!

He does not seem to engage me. Pitiful.

I decide he must not know HOW to play, or hunt, or be a dragon just yet.... He was in the shell longer than I was, it could not have been good for his brain. Males being as slow as they are anyhow, he needs my help.

A playful bite on the neck to show him how to use his mouth. Nothing serious, my fangs hardly make contact with his scales! I don't even growl or hiss as I want to, it would scare the poor thing far to much.

He wails.

Loud sharp pain head throbbing can't think hurts everything stop pleasestop STOP EVERYTHING
