What... that bitc- Not that we care. No, we are not avoiding her now at all.. Nuh uh. We just don't need to see her now. Let's look at the star chart. We need to consider our next move. If we really want to be a serious movement we have to get more ships so we can spread the word. Then again building a base somewhere safe and becoming the ex-slave pirates in order to survive holds some intrest.

Hey, catgirls might simply have a preference to spend some of their time with other catgirls, and this may not in any way indicate she doesn't want to spend time with you.

So don't jump to conclusions that she doesn't like you anymore, just give her a hug and chat, get to know the other catgirls too.

36001

Let’s see… for starters… I don’t consider myself as captain, nor does Melanie or anyone else… still… the people rescued trust us to come up with a way to free everyone…

Also, during my… absence… the ship name was voted, and they called it, “The Bullet”… I don’t know why…

Now, we are here… the ship current route is to the chaos zone, as you might recall is eternal asteroid storm…, we have a lot of systems around us, and a military CGA zone near the chaos area…

…there is also a empty space area just passing the CGA control zone… empty space is dangerous because most ships get lost without star charts reference, and since there are no stars, there is no solar sail nor solar collection… most ships just don’t get near those areas… that’s why it might be a good idea…

… if we can come up with a plan…

Perhaps we could make a makeshift space station. By buying additional ships, then welding them onto this ship, we could eventually create a large enough 'super ship' to house as many escaped slaves as we want, upgrading rooms, living quarters, farming space, and other things as necessary.
The main problems in doing so that, first, we'd have to acquire the resources needed to do this (additional ships, some way to weld them together in space or on planet, the means to survive indefinitely in space), and second, eventually we'd probably need to get more cloaking devices in order to cover the whole damn thing.

... I dunno, I'm just... throwing this out there. I'm trying for a long term solution. We can't just run around without a plan forever... can we?
>>

>>36012
I vote this. We need to establish something or someone in some government computers and agencies though, so that we can create the illusion of this being a ligitimate operation. That way we can avoid bounty hunters or anyone seeking to capture or reclaim slaves.

>>36012
I like this idea. Only change I'd make:
>then welding them onto this ship
No. Weld them onto each other. If we get a bunch of empty cargo hulls and stick them together in empty space, we'll have a good base. Throw in some Hydrofarms and cloaks, and leave our unskilled slaves there, then use the Bullet to do stuff.

36086

Yes, the chaos zone, to enter it we need a way to navigate inside and not be destroyed in seconds…

… not only we’d need a shield generator… we need weaponry to destroy most of the the incoming asteroids, we’d need to be able to destroy any asteroid of sizes a1 to a5, a1 being micro asteroids and a5 asteroids half the size of this ship…

…fortunately, we are deploying sentry robots in the hull of the ship, these robots are armed with two laser cannons each, and while this wont destroy any medium sized ship, its still enough to destroy any incoming a1 asteroid, an even small cluster of missiles, if we ever encounter them…

Now, the possibility to enter the chaos zone and remain alive enough to find a suitable asteroid is less than 2%

There's another problem.
The asteroid would have to be durable enough to withstand a constant...

Wait.
Do you have something akin to a gravitic generator?
You could make a base inside an asteroid, then attract the whirling debris towards it.
Assuming you didn't breach something from the initial impacts, you would have a replaceable shell of the smaller asteroids.
You might be able to pull off something similar with a powerful magnet if the asteroids are very ferrous.

Yeah, this is a long-ish term goal. To accomplish it we'll need:

>1. A Shield Generator
I recommend purchasing that as soon as possible.
>2. Bigger Sticks
Again, we'll have to purchase at least some, though reverse-engineering with our new resource module will allow us to produce our own.
I'd say that we could put bigger cannons on the 'bots, enabling them to deal with a2 debris, and put bigger guns on rotating points on the ship.

That's just to allow us to traverse the Chaos zone. To build our base, we'll also need:

>3. At least one additional farm
We should be able to reverse engineer this and build it ourselves
>4. More Cloakers
Again, we can do that without interacting with outside forces
>5. something to provide power
We may need to purchase this, I'm not sure
>6. a fuckton of resources
We'll have to do a whole lot of claim-jumping to fund this little project.

So, our most pressing goal is to trade some of the minerals and stuff that we have for bigger sticks and a shield.

That would be viable if we had a capital ship (battle cruiser or bigger) or medium space station sized gravitic generator… and a engine big enough to support it on its own…

Well then. Let's try pounding the pavement at the largest nearby slavery-neutral population center, see if we can't get an idea of where we might find those things - or even just the schematics for them. Then we steal.

On that same trip, we'll see if we can't pick up some proper weapons and a shield.

I was TRYING to put these things on your shopping list a month ago. Buy people out of slavery. Slowly increase your fleet size, working your way up to at least one large capital ship. Become a migrant fleet, manned by slaves, and a power to be reckoned with. Then maybe you will have a shot at having the entire institution of slavery abolished in your sector of space.
>>
No. 36155 ID: 789c25

>>36150
Yeah except that's not what we're talking about. Rather than making a fleet, which requires lots of engines and weapons, we want to make a station. Our current ship is pretty suitable for the sort of piracy we've been engaging in, and with the addition of shield and weapons, it will be exemplary for these purposes.

Ergo, a fleet is currently unnecessary.

Not illegal, and explains your presence perfectly. If they stay in the area, after a while (at least half an hour, you don't want them to think you left because of them), retreat and head off somewhere else, having concluded that you cannot risk such a venture currently.

AND DO NOT LET YOUR SHIP HAVE VISUAL TRANSMISSIONS GO TO THEIR SHIP.

The scenario you presented would be potentially the second from worst and considering the pinball effect of the flying asteroids, kinda unlikely, I was more thinking 'loss' as 'small ship and crew get pulverised by high velocity asteroids'.

Plus, I'm not sure it's a good idea to make Jen even more unhappy by having to report recently freed slave deaths, but I'm repeating myself, a risk is a risk and we may gain something valuable out of it.
