After a while the pain starts to fade, and I collect myself.
Instead of pointlessly sobbing I can think clearly again, and quickly rip some cloth from my skirt to stop the bleeding.

I should keep moving, there will be time for crying later.

How... remarkably pragmatic of you.

Eerily so.

Maybe there is something else causing you to be so calm about losing a foot, crippling you for life and probably ruining any further exploration of the facility.

Is it a big enough drop that you risk permanently injuring yourself?

If not drop down. Try to lower yourself down with your hands and land on your good leg.

The drop has to be better than risking the loss of another foot to the metal gear.

Most of the burn for incineration should only transfer by contact, the air will be comparatively safe (like with ovens), and we can expect alot of the exhaust to be blasted through into the remainder of the vent, but yeah it'd get pretty damn toasty in there after it was turned on. All in all I think it's worth trying. Even if it doesn't work, at least it'd trap Pete long enough for us to put some distance between us.

In a cremator the flames won't go very far. They're designed to create very intense local heating of the body, and minimise the amount that goes elsewhere, which would be inefficient. If we stood right by the break in the vent we might get surface burns from hot air, but it wouldn't set us alight. Air is an absolutely terrible thermal conductor.

Wait, are you implying that- you mean he and-
I'm blushing heavily, luckily my head is already in the airduct, so Jason can't see.
Jason holding me as I climb in isn't helping either.~

>>35320
I'll just whisper this to myself, what if Jason things its in poor taste? He wouldn't like me anymore!

And can you stop talking about steaks? I'm getting hungry!

Y-.. I-I.. Shut up!

>>35337
I just flashed some cotton to tease him!
We haven't even kissed propperly yet...!

I crawl trough the airducts talking to myself, I notice there's some airducts going up aswell, but they're sealed off, the grates far more solid than the others, and welded in place.

At least the smoke of the oven will go up here instead of follow us to the next room.

I arrive in the next room, Bane is here.

Bane helps me down from the airduct, and as soon as Jason catches up he offers his shoulder once more.

Gladly I accept and we make our way trough, Bane first.
As I enter the room, It starts to dawn on my how tired I actually am.
The adrenaline has faded, and feeling secure with Jason, I'm now very tired.

get CD.

Consider spending time now in this room sleeping.

You and Jason could sleep for, say, six hours while bane keeps watch, and then keep watch while he sleeps for a while. That way you are all rested.

Plus~ Jason would like it~

Rest in the crate, and I guess it's inevitable that you're gonna end up with Jason at some point, at least you have some sort of privacy.

But behave yourselves!

I agree, but they're probably going to rest now, so why not?

And, on a slightly related note, I die a little inside every time one of you fuckers uses a tilde at the end of a sentence~

Gotcha, CD inventory'd

Now I suggest my plan
>"Jason~ I think we should get some sleep together while Bane stays on the lookout, and after we've slept Bane could sleep, while we stand on the lookout.
>"What do you think?"

Jason looks at me a bit shyly, but I can tell he approves of the plan.
I then turn to Bane.

>"You know mah ducky, I'm not tired at all, I dare say I'm confident enough I can stay awake for as long as you two wish to sleep."
He replies with a smile.

>>35352
You are a dirty one, you are.

Me and Jason decide to get some sleep then, in the crate.
At least its slightly softer than the floor, and it's somewhat secluded.

I rest my head against his chest, and he holds my hand, he puts his other hand on my head.
It makes me feel safe, secure.

In this hell, for at least one night, I feel truely happy...
