Also, I don't necessarily think it's 100% bad that Raital took the betrayal sword with her when she left - she could be using it to betray her siblings/father right the fuck now. (Unlikely, but we can hope.)

You know, I think Reaver depicts kobolds best. Reaver's kobolds have a realistic head-shape that an actual creature could realistically have, and yet they retain the cuteness of a traditional cutebold.

The second we get a minute sideways, we need to get some background information.

In chapter one, we were trying to look around for kingdoms so we could claim to be the prince of one. It's now chapter ten and we still don't have one. If someone asks us who we're the prince OF, we're just going to stand there confused.

Why do we have to continue to be a prince? It's obvious that nobody wants to marry her anymore, and the only reason we were putting on our little prince facade was to impress her dad into allowing us to marry. Now our goal seems to be rescuing Raital, and possibly taking on the Skullking.

Because we told EVERYONE our Prince story, and everyone BUYS IT. Coming clean about not being a prince would irreparably damage our reputation with all but maybe Totenkompf, because he's loyal to us for different reasons. We used that prince reputation to get Goldwomb on our side, the elf queen on our side, to lend weight to our opinions as leader, and all sorts of things. Throwing that away is a BAD BAD IDEA.

I believe that by now we've established to our teammates that we are not a regular, run of the mill kobold. Even if we ditch the prince facade, it won't change the incredible things we've done. Perhaps our comrades will realize that.

If we ditch our entire backstory at this point, it'll really undermine everyone's trust. If we only ditch part of it, it'll be a bit easier for people to forgive. All anyone else can see is that we are a regular kobold. So, yes, for every way that counts we are a regular kobold. We are no stronger or faster or different looking.

A few things.

1. The longer we wait to come clean about our past, the more trouble revealing it is going to become. Sooner is better than later.

2. Stop with the alternate world shit before it starts. We have no clue if that true. Also, no spreading guesses to our allies as if they are truth. No. Stop that right now. If we go "oh guess I was wrong" later then that undermines us EVEN MORE.

3. Don't tell the princess RIGHT NOW. Lets solve this problem first before we create another for ourselves. We can have truth telling time later.

I want Rudy Quest back. Being a kobold is a downer.

Alright, I think I have the solution to our Prince problem.

When we get a free moment, tell the truth to only Totenkompf, and swear him to secrecy. Ensure NO ONE overhears. Then ask him what kingdoms have already been taken over by the skullking, and pick one of those to have been ex-prince of. If the country was known for its diplomacy, all the better.

Here's what we can do. We can ask if the princess actually wants to marry this goon. If so, wish her a happy life. If not, save the fuck outta her. After saving, tell her that we have stumbled upon a quest of epic importance that we can only fulfill in this kobold form. (technically true). Tell her to not wait for us and find another prince, for we do not expect to be able to return once the quest is finished. Maybe even namedrop the Skullking as who we're up against. I'm sure she's familiar with that threat, if she's at all listened to politics. Bow, then make a dramatic exit.
