Well, miss Moonleaf, first keep in mind your priorities. As an adventurer, one of your chief concerns is not getting killed. To that end, you want garments which can afford you protection while minimalizing any restriction to your movement. From the slightness of your frame, I'd say that metal is out of the question. That brings us to boiled leather. Attached is an appropriate design, which I feel maximizes protection without hindering joint movement. There is some small hindrance to trunk torsion, and bending over backwards may be physically somewhat awkward, but I believe my slitted corset design minimizes these downsides.
You might want to wear wool underneath to prevent chafing, though. And you'd definitely want to wear something over to obscure weakpoints.
