If we are going to make this relationship work then it's important that trust goes both ways.

I suggest we use our SILVERTONGUE and tell her the truth about how her recent behaviour has been scaring you and that love is also about compromise, you love her dearly and want her to be happy. What does she want? What do you want? Come to an agreement and maybe establish a cue for when she's gone a bit too far, keep her satisfied with romantic hot dickings and fondling when possible and finish off the conversation with a nice long kiss.

On that note, also use that SILVERTONGUE next time round and go down on her, she'll like that.

*Mudy sits down*

"Look, oracle. You're the first thing I've run into in weeks that hasn't been able to flat-out kill me without thinking, and it's a lot of stress on a Kobold. I know next to nothing of my past, beyond isolated incidents prior to waking up locked in a box. Since that time I've scaled a tower, befriended a dwarf, conquered an army, been tricked by a lich, Been attacked by an assassin that can slay entire armies, romanced our sister, discovered we're blood relations of the Skullking, spoke to the oracle of the well of truth, and now traveled to the dark-elf capital to find the missing queen in a dungeon.

My sister won't or can't leave me alone sexually. I've had my nose broken twice by my other sister, after she tried to force me into magical bondage. My oldest brother wants to sacrifice both myself, and the sister I'm having relations with.

...And the damndest thing is? I really do love her! She's beautiful... wonderful... but so fragile. So broken. She could slay me with barely a thought, and I'm begining to think that she's thinking these thoughts now.

She doesn't respect me. She doesn't understand HOW to love me.

And I'm running out of time and safety to try to help her see this.

Oracle. I am profoundly fucked, and am only a little Kobold.

I could really, really use some sage guidance here.

...please?"

Mudy stuffs the four pieces of the stone and the gems in his pockets, and grabs a plank for no particular reason.
However, as he stands at the edge of the hole, he feels really uncomfortable with jumping down in the darkness, especially since the mushroom he tossed down lost all of its light just as it hit the bottom.
Mudy does not wish to break his legs and get stuck in inpenetrable darkness. Atleast not both.

In your 13-year absence, Firewater and her people have become allies of the Skullking and, from what I was told, everything has become a bit of a mess. I had convinced Prince Darkmoon Rapier, your son and second heir, to go against the Skullking in light of recent events. But before I had the chance to speak with the rest of the Royal Council, made up of your children, I was tricked by a lich, who had a grudge against me, named Calavera into entering here. He locked me in here as he did you, your highness."

Hey, just a thought, but if we choose Rapier, we need to see his face.

One, because a common trope of stories is for the veiled guy to be an enemy in disguise.

Two, because he could more specifically be Calavera.

Just having Calavera in Firewater just makes for a whole bunch of problems, and this is one of them.

Dagger is a pisspoor choice in the long run. She's friends with us, but she doesn't really have any particular virtues as a leader; she is a grandchild of the empress, rather than the direct leader. It will be immediately evident that we picked her merely to have influence over the government.

Right now, the best choice is Rapier. He agrees with our politics is most closely related to a good friend of ours, and is likely to be a good leader to the nation. On the other hand, it seems to me that it's poor foresight to choose someone for such a long-lived race based on such immediate concerns. In particular, the fact that he's listed as "expansionist" seems to bode poorly.

Stiletto has been largely discounted due to being a partier, but with such varied and competent second-in-commands a loose hand may well be the type of rule that the nation will do best under. If he has the mettle to unify the siblings in times when unity is necessary, then he is arguably the best choice in the long run. Considering our own interests, he is unlikely to be interested in unprovoked military action in the future, and at this particular point in time, he's liable to let Rapier handle the Skullking issue, if we encourage him to do so. Regardless, we'll need to talk with him before making a decision.

If we wanted to strike a balance, for the future of the nation, Halberd would be a good choice. It seems to me, however, that she's inferior to both Stiletto and Rapier, both in how her ruling style will effect politics, and in respect to our own self-interest.

Perhaps we should try talking to each of the prospective rulers and ask what they would have their country do, if it were solely their decision.

I propose this as a course of action:
We claim to have found the Queen, she's busy fighting something or other (May need to get some help with this story) and wants things to run smoothly in her absence with regular council meetings.
Ask a great boon to sit in on these meetings (Not all of them, of course. Maybe ask Dagger if she can get us in without anyone else knowing; She'd probably change the least from our presence or lack of it.)
See if the tiara has anything to say (Glowing, flying, asploding) during the meetings, and listen to the politics.
Make a decision after a week or so and hope to fuck a pissed Stormprague or the other blutjaegers don't show up.
