A scene is being shown. You don't know why you are seeing this nor whose hands these are, but you notice that they are held firmly yet not too tight. Various bits and pieces of conversation can also be heard.
"So where do you want to go?" A gruff, young sounding voice says.
"Anywhere is fine," A calm, indifferent, feminine voice replies.

Suddenly, the scene switches to a wheel of a moving object which you can only assume is the wheel of a bicycle. You cannot determine who is riding, as if the person showing you the scene is taunting you and leaving you in the dark. How frustrating.
"Wait... what the?" A masculine voice says, No, no, no, no!
A grunt could be heard and various clicking noises.
"Get out of the way!" The same voice yells.

A girl turns around, but you cannot see her face because the damned camera is pointed towards her breasts, which are nice.
"What's that?" She says not quite sure of the situation.
"Crap!" The young, gruff voice from before says.
The young girls body is pulled forward.

The scene changed to the girl falling forward, but her face is not aimed at the ground. It is aimed at the car. It wasn't that she fell and then turned her head. No, her face as always looking that way, as if she knew it was coming the whole time. The loud screech of the car trying to futilely break. The girl never says a word.

The scene suddenly ends and you are now looking at a man with the head of a goat or sheep... or maybe a ram. What is the difference between them anyway? You're not sure on the specifics.
"And that is how your next host has died," The goathead says in a suave, elegant, deep voice. The kind of the voice that would make anyone relaxed, no matter the circumstances, "Oh you must be confused and tired after having your memory erased. Don't worry, I'll explain everything to you once the girl comes. "
A noise could be heard. If you were to describe it, it would be the sound of someone using a meat grinder to make sausages made of steel. Creeeeeek. Ksh ksh ksh ksh. Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

You turn around and to your surprise is someone's mouth. It is not the fault of the camera this time though. You are pretty sure it is because you are right in front of her face.
"Huh, you sure have a weird head," The girl says calmly.
"My, you sure know how to compliment people don't you?" The goathead says as he lets out a light chuckle, "I am Stigmas, your guide. As you probably know, you are now dead."
"So is this where you show me to where I'll suffer for the rest of eternity?" The girl says in the same indifferent voice from before.
"Hah! I wish! No, you are here for a different reason. You are here to participate in a game for your life. Interested?"
"Of course."
"Why are they always interested?" Stigmas says as he lets out a sigh, "Anyway, you will go through a series of 'games', if you will. All you have to do is reach the goal. And don't worry, the games will not start now. They will start at 10 o' clock in your world."

"My world? So you mean I get to go back?"
"For now, yes. You will stay there for one week. Every night there will be a game. If you successfully pass all the games, you will stay there until the next time you pass away. "
"What happens if I don't participate in a game?"
"Of course, you will be automatically disqualified and sent straight back here. I will explain more at the first game. Anyway, I have a lot more people to meet so I will give you your two presents, the souls of the damned and this ball, and have you on your way."
"Souls of the damned?"
"That is right. They are in this game in order to reach the top."
"Top?"
"Right. This is the bottom and up there is the top. Once they save 100 souls, they will be set free. You are the 97th soul. Well, I'm out of time, so I'm going to send you off now."
Everything has turned dark.

This is all... rather interesting. We're in it for ourselves, and so are you, but our interests coincide so here we are.

Well on to practicality. You need a way to find out where you are, what time it is and... WHICH 10 o' clock the game begins at. Now then, you seem to be in a hospital gown so you're probably in a hospital after the whole car incident (by the way, do us a favor and recall the circumstances of that, in your own perspective), or possibly the morgue. See if you can find a light or a door's outline or something.

"In front of us" suggests there's a physical part of us that has a front. This isn't necessarily so. In general I think our perception is tied to yours. We're generally unaware of things you're unaware of, etc. So why don't you just get changed while reflecting back upon pertinent moments of your life... or the people in your life. Picture those in your mind rather than yourself.

Do you get along with your family? By the way how come you didn't really seem all that surprised that you went to hell? You hardly strike me as someone who would be doing stuff that makes you end up there. Unless you have been calling God a fucking asshole munching dickweed, which I think is the truth. Damn bastard would probably condemn you for that, fucking asshole.

>>116072
Don't worry. We never seem to be able to get a full view. Always something in the way, like strategically placed mist or smoke.

And a word of warning. Some of the spirits in here were clearly damned because of them being giant perverts. So if anyone of us suggests that you engage in sexual intercourse with your brother then it's pretty normal. Just ignore them... Unless that's what you did to get sent to hell. In which case we won't judge.

Well then say hello to him. Be a bit wary though. When demons start playing around they're usually tricky as fucking hell.

Hmm, you should probably stock up a bit on anti demon stuff. Faith based stuff might not work unless you have faith in that particular branch. Iron and silver is probably the best to have for random situations. Most magical creatures seem to dislike those two metals.

So either you miraculously survived, which means you could end up mysteriously dying again next week, or the accident never happened. Maybe we're even before it happened. I know we're the ones who are supposed to know about this stuff, having done it at least 96 times before, but I honestly can't remember any of that. Christian stuff might not work on the demons unless you have great personal faith in them working. But you should have some iron and silver stuff lying around at your home. Silver should be either in jewelry, cutlery or candle holders. Iron should be tools, like hammers, cast iron pans or nails. Stuff like iron oak or misteltoe could also be useful against demons and spirits.

Ask your family if they know anything about demons. Don't be serious about it, make it seem like it's a passing thought.

'Hmm, well my brother is a year younger than me. Hes a real... quirky guy? He spends most of his time in his room and sometimes he says things I don't really understand. He's a good brother though. People say he resembles my mother but I don't think that's a compliment. My mother, Lina, is a stay-at-home mom. If I had to describe her with a word, it would be adventurous. And, uh... what else? Oh, I heard from dad that she's really good at gambling, not that shes an addict or anything. I don't really know how dad and mom really met, but they say it was heart-pounding. She's like dad in that she has many strange acquaintances. '
"Uh... hey, do you guys know anything about demons?" Kylie says awkwardly.
"Demons? Have you've been listening to too many stories again?" Sam says chuckling.
"No, I was just wondering."
"Well there are many types of demons in different cultures. Some of them say they live in hell and others say they live in the world. Of course, I think the only demons in this world would be inside of us."
There he goes saying things I don't get.
"Demons?" Lina says as she sets down a glass of liquid, "... It's better if you never met one."
"What, you met one, mom?" Kylie says leaning forward.
"Well, I'm not sure if you can call that a demon, it was more human. Well, I'd rather forget the whole thing." Lina says as she make a chuckle that resembles Sam's.

Your vision returns.
'Hey, just thought I'd give you an hourly update. Nothing happening yet.'
Kylie seems to be talking with two people.
"Man, Mr. Morrison is such an ass," says a voice that can only be described as the voice of a boy whose balls have yet to drop.
"Yeah, I can't believe he made us turn in an assignment he never even assigned," says a haughty feminine voice.
"He didn't even believe us when we told him, but when the whole class didn't turn it in, I could hear his voice squeaking with embarassment," Kylie says laughing.
"His voice squeaks?" says the prepubescent boy. Heh, thats a funny word, pre-pube-scent.
"You know only Kylie can hear those things," the haughty girl says.
"Man, I wish I was the daredevil," the boy says sighing with envy.
"Heh, although in Kylie's case, shes a shark," the girl says.
"Enough with the shark thing. You guys know I don't like that nickname," Kylie says with a tone of disapproval.
"Tell it to the guy who almost drowned," the girl says trying to hold in her laughter.
'SInce you're probably going to ask anyway, I'll introduce my friends. The girl is Clarissa Ortega. I've known her since elementary and she hasn't changed since then. She likes to tease and make fun of people but in good fun. She really likes comedy and the like. The boy's name is Mark Chow. I met him about two years ago. Uh... nothing else to say except he's short. Clarissa and I are taller than him and he's the shortest boy my age, which is why I think he makes his hair spiky. Clarissa also like to make fun of him because of that, but Clarissa makes fun of everyone.'
'So anything else before I turn you off again?'

hey... endurance training = good performance when you need it (which is soon)

And on that note: considering the day repeats itself, you can do what you want (like in groundhog day)

Ask out that guy you had no courage to if he can hang out today and make passionate love to him, flash the class, kick some guy you hate inexplicably in the nuts, etc...

You got freedom from the future. Enjoy it. Just don't get too carried away and not think about what you have to deal with soon... But at least get some stress relief. Technically, by the same logic, you CAN masturbate in class without long term consequences... (not reccommended)

But best thing to do is say something you haven't tried before.

This is just between you and me, but... there's a good chance we haven't saved 97 souls and we aren't damned. This whole thing is as new to us as it is to you. I'm not sure even that goat head man has the power to erase our memories. Follow his rules if you have to, but don't assume that he can force you to do something immoral or horrible. Even if he can, you can still remain a good person if you also adopt the goal of removing that power from him as soon as possible.

It's questionable whether anyone can be damned at all for something they don't even remember. That sort of things smacks of the Time Police so be on the lookout for temporal anomalies and/or odd looking singing enforcers in strange garb. Never run away from them.

'If you say so!'
Kylie raises her cane and begins to charge the ball-monster. As if in retaliation, it suddenly charges Kylie also. The only difference between them is sheer speed. Before Kylie could even take a step, the monster was already in her face with its gaping maw wide open. Surprisingly enough, the monsters breath was odorless. The mouth was wide and deep, as though went on forever, which was impossible considering that the monster was nothing but a ball with a mouth. Inside the mouth a terrible ripping sound could be heard, a sound that sounded like someone grinding metal in a meat grinder. Kylie could only let out a small scream as the monster swallowed her.

"Welcome to the game, everyone! I say everyone because you are not the only one in this game for your life," Stigmas soothing voice booms in, "All of you have died in one way or another, but make no mistake! Just because you are in this game does not mean you belong in hell or heaven or whatever you people call them. It only means that you get the chance to try again at life. If any of you wish to not participate, you may quit at any time. All you have to do is yell, 'I want to die!' Now for those of you who wish to live again, I will tell you about this game. It is very simple, all you have to do is follow the tunnel and reach the end, but beware for there are monsters waiting for you. This round is merely a preliminary round to weed out those of you who can't put on a good show, but that doesn't mean you should hurry! Take all the time you need. The time you spend in here is that same amount of time you spend back with the living. Well I have gone on far enough. May you reach the top."
Kylie doesn't get up but lays there resting.
'Okay I'm turning the map back on. I've been thinking of a way to convey the map more accurately so I made so that the green ring represents how far I can hear. The thud I made right now could make me see that far. Red is me, blue is ally, and orange is hostile. Grey is what I can't see. Anything else I should add?'

Kylie slowly gets up and and begins to walk through the corridor. She places her hand on the wall as she walks.
'Feels like stone. Guess this must be some kind of cave.'
Kylie continues her easy-going pace, tapping her cane every time she takes a right step, until she hears a figure. In response to Kylie's tapping, the figure turns around, making a loud thud every time one of its limbs hits the ground. The long limb on the ground, which is presumably a tail, sweeps across the ground as it turns its body.
'...That's an interesting shape.'

Kylie then begins to wrap her arm with the cloth, tightening it as much as she can using her hand as a clamp as she pulls with her teeth. The whole scene is rather barbaric in way, as if you were watching a dog pull on a chew and tear at a bone or if you were watching a gator crush its prey. Once the whole sleeve has been wrapped around the arm, Kylie shoves the wooden stake in between the layer to make it even tighter. She then raises her arm above her head.

Kylie sticks her hand inside her pockets again and pull out the bottle of painkillers. She then rests her arm on the cold, slightly wet (possibly from her blood) ground.
'How many of these am I suppose to take anyway?'
>>

for pain pills it's almost always one or two. take two, even if that is a bit much it wont do anything too bad.

Yeah, take two.
>>

woah woah woah....

The ground is cold and wet.
It shouldn't be cold and wet from blood.
Your blood is as warm as you...
And there hasn't been any water leaks or anything

Only two possible scenarios

It's really cold. Cold enough for blood to turn cold that fast. Even then, doesn't explain why it hasn't hardened via platlets

Or that there's some sort of dampness rising from underneath

I'm more worried about the latter...

Kylie takes two pills and pops them into her mouth and takes out a small bottle of water.
>>177884
'Hm, you're right. That is strange.'
Kylie opens the bottle and begins to drink when she notices a weak smell. She begins to breath through her nose deeply. A strange familiar smell is lingering about. Kylie stops drinking.
'This is... urine. And I think I just drank holy water.'

Sticking close to the wall, Kylie begins to walk, using the cane to make sure she doesn't run into anything. The smell of urine is getting stronger and off to the distance, a small sound could be heard. The sound is a crushing, grinding sound, as if someone were grinding metal.

The grinding noise continues to do whatever it is doing, while the urine smell grows stronger.
'I think I hear something else...'
Mixed between the crunches and screeches, there is soft shuffling sound.

'Machinery and a sewage plant? What's that stuff doing in a cave full of monsters?'

I'm suggesting that the test may be over and they dumped you somewhere inconvenient. However, let us continue to assume that is not the case.

The machinery is staying in one place, it seems. The shuffling is likely a monster. That is the noise you need to avoid.

Ah dammit, it's some kind of... short fanged venomous thing. I'd say snake but they don't make any noise. Probably something more similar to a large lizard, but with fangs.

Well, first aid for a snake bite is to keep the wound below the heart and avoid doing anything that would increase the heart rate. So calm down and stay upright. Don't bother trying to suck out the venom; it spreads so rapidly that trying that accomplishes nothing. Don't tie off the wound either, that causes more harm than good.

Just keep going. Can you please give us a little more detailed information about these sounds? I don't have anything to work with here.

[Oh nice, you're chewing us out in the image names. Well excuse me if I can't figure out what's going on just using text descriptions of audio clues. The blind girl should be able to at least give us an idea of what direction everything's coming from. Then we would have SOMETHING to go on, instead of 'hey there's a noise that could be anything. And another noise.']

Kylie stands up, propping herself up with the cane. Her breathing seems to have sped up a little, but nothing too noticeable. The sound of grinding metal continues in front of Kylie, while the shuffling sound to her right seems to have disappeared. Kylie leans back on the circular wall behind her.

Wave your cane about violently in front of you. Maybe you'll hit something. I can't think of much else to do in this situation. Blindness sucks.

Lets not go down the route of random violence again, last time that didn't end well.

How about you continue to make you way forward instead. You need to get to the finish line Kylie, and it won't happen by lying on the floor.
