Journal Entry #41

Hey, journal. I'm technically not home right now so this is more of a mental entry. My class all went on a trip to the Aelor homeland and uh... We got all split up. A few of us made our way to a seemingly abandoned city and we found Tessa in a well.

We also found a giant mysterious monolith!
That was guarded by a dragon.

Oh and that dragon is now staring at me.

I have no sympathy for anyone's sacrifice's or what important work you've lost when they try to use it as an excuse for slavery. You could have the cure for world hunger or cancer and I would still say:
Fuck you.

"<No! I do not want to meet any stupid dumb elf or anyone you know! The work I was doing here was priceless! And you ruined it!>"

"Hey, hold on. I didn't ruin anything. I saved someone's life. And honestly? I value that life over whatever was being done here.

And, to be perfectly honest? Knowing your people? I probably saved -you-."

Oh, right.

>Tali casts comfy.

>They drop.

Forgot about that. Thanks.

Now... What do we do with them? They seem fairly upset over all that stuff. I'm not sure they'd want to come back to the school with me. But, I think if I leave them here they might just die?

There's no problem that can't be solved with the creative application of a gag and some mild kidnapping, Tali. Get on it.

Also, we should remember some of those elf slurs.

Tie them up and carry them like a backpack. They're a big dumb jerk, but they don't deserve to die in the desert. Just be careful, they might be a Void-Ceer, so smooching them too much might kill them.

Insert Elf into Ceer C. Repeat Process.
Oh wait no... thats Ceer A's job. Uh... just drag it along by its feet. We'll figure out somewhere to put it. Maybe just toss it in the pile with our other Ceer.

So, we have a 3rd ceer to 'reform'!
Fantastic!
You need to bring them back to the school and get them in a magic-suppressing collar as soon as possible. Maybe one that makes them very comfy when they try to use magic?

Yeah, they probably won’t listen to you. Your best bet is to have Ceera convince them we’ve got a real shot at safe Ceer fertility.

If all else fails, there’s always Vaisi’s old room... but I’d much rather add them to our think tank.

Speaking of which, try to find some time to hand us over to gears so we can aquatint each other with what we know of the reproductive sciences.

Amazingly, that’s not an euphemism this time.

Ceera will be able to transition (heh) them into their new role as a member of the school staff and I'm sure the other instructors will give them a lesson on research ethics.

Bring her to the faculty. This Ceer definitely seems like someone who is worth interrogating. Ceera might be able to convince her to at least calm down a little though, and cooperate so the interrogation isn't so unpleasant.

Guys, I am NOT taking ANOTHER girlfriend. I have two. TWO. I didn't even think I'd get ONE before I was out in the workforce.

>Tali gathers up the Ceer and carries them on his back. They weigh practically nothing, so even his noodly elf arms are strong enough to support them. He lets out a heavy sigh.

>This isn't even the third time he's almost died in the past few months. It's not even the fifth.

How did my life become this, I wonder. Was there some choice I could have made, some path I could have gone down to avoid this....

I swear if I end up saving the world or something I'm going to throw a fit. I was just supposed to spy on the school and now...

Well, I guess it's not ALL bad.

Let's make sure the others are fine. They're probably worried sick about me.

>The trip back is long, but made far simpler by the fact that magic seems to be functioning once again. Whatever they had set up here is basically broken beyond repair and all of Tali's spells are functional. With them, he's able to easily go back down the spire, through the cave, and up the well without issue.

Guess we can see what Ceera says about this one. I don't want them to like... Die. So, kidnapping it is.

>He crosses the lip of the well.

"So," He says to who he hopes are his friends, "Things got a bit crazy. You guys will not -believe- what just happened."

"Tali!" Lan shouts, "Did you seriously defeat a Ceer, free a dragon, AND get a piece of true flame!?"

"Oh okay so I guess you already know everything."

>Alpherialum is already ahead of you, as she said she would be, and seems to be making friends. Or terrorizing Tessa and making friends with Lan. It's hard to tell.

"What a delightfully squishy person you are." Alpherialum says, as she hold Tessa in her claws.

"Greetings once more, my savior." Alpherialum says, "Your friends have informed me all there is to know of your classmates. I took to the sky, tasting the wonderful heated winds once more, and cast my gaze about to see. Scents and noises are in the air. I have located many people, but I warn you that none are in easy locations.

Another ceer and a human are in the land of Sin, close to The Prison. An elf and another human are with the nomads of the White Desert. A human and an undine are still traversing the land.

Which do you want to go to? If needed, I can check on the other two while you are there."

"Oh, uh, did you happen to smell a poison dragon?"

"There are many dragons, many of whom are poison."

Well, guess I gotta hope she finds us? Who should we try and find?

FOR SIX YEARS I HAVE LAIN DORMANT

>I swear if I end up saving the world or something I'm going to throw a fit
You might have already. It just comes part and parcel with being around us. Don't stress out too much about it, you're doing fine.

>>1104905
>So, kidnapping it is.
I guess we could call it "capturing". They were hostile.

A dragon after our own heart.

Getting Undines out of harm's way is probably the first priority, this is not a very Undine-friendly place.

Hell yeah, we are back baby! Love this quest! Didn't get the chance to participate before

The people staying with the nomads will be probably fine. The prision sounds bad, but it's unlikely for them to attack some lost people in the dessert. I would go first for the people most likely to get lost AND far.

Probably should look at the pair that are close to the prison. That sounds like a recipe for trouble, and if not, hey, it doesn't sound like either of the other groups are in active danger.
>>
No. 1104937 ID: bf5b2a

Hm, probably should focus on making sure our other Undine is okay, at the same time though they aren't currently near anything that could be a big threat...
Let's consult Lan first, she probably knows whether we should worry about the other two groups based on where they are, since we don't know anything about The Prison or whether the nomads would be hostile or anything.

It has NOT been that long guys, c'mon. It's been like a few seconds, at best. Or was this one of those weird disassociation things?

We gotta stay on the ball this time. Friends are in danger. Or not. It's hard to tell considering they're all mages and stuff.

I think you guys are right about the undine, but let's see what Lan has to add.

>Tali turns to the girl and asks for her opinion on it. She thinks for a moment.

"The Prison's actually pretty well guarded. It's also uh... Not the kind of prison you're thinking of! It's supposed to be the prison for a god or something. I think it's mostly just some Aelor looking for an easy job.

The Nomads are probably Gear's folk. If they're with them, they're completely safe. So, yeah, I think going for the Undine is the best bet. It's night now so they might be better off but the desert gets cold for non-Aelor folk."

"Hm. Alright, that's where we'll go then. Alpherialum, that's the one we want."

"Very well." The magma dragons nods her massive head.

"Oh boy!" Lan jumps up and down, looking quite animated. "I get to finally ride a dragon!"

>In the end, Lan and Tessa are made to watch over the Ceer captive while Tali takes off. The plan is to eventually get everyone to the same spot.

That's gonna be hard to do without a ride back... Maybe I could convince her to carry more people?

What do magma dragons like?

Presumably, magma.

Also i think Fael is right behind you, might want to prepare the apology for riding another dragon.

Well I suppose the apology can be something like "I didn't have any choice. Now I do, and I choose you."
Start by asking to be let down, before the confrontation starts.
