How exactly are these people sure you're the chosen hero? are you literally made out of frost and snow? aaanyhoo. let's NOT break into homes and steal things like every other hero. that would get us off to a good start. Maybe go to the marketplace and make them some statues in their fountains- nothing that blocks water, but a few ice sculptures would be good practice, no?

You have entered the Market Place in Domina. There are multiple stores in the area, one is selling travel supplies, another is a gift shop, and the last one is labeled "Curio's Oddities" There also seems to be some sort of concert going on. A beautiful melody is being played on a flute.

The feeling you had when you arrived feels intense now, and in front of the entrance is a golden flute. Amelia explains that the flute has been there for generations ever since the Hero Forge was first used and the first hero was created. A magical barrier protects the temple and flute that only a divine hero can break.

Specifically, make your shield slightly taller than you are and a somewhat wider than you on either side. Once it is up, quietly sidestep, so you are still behind the shield (and out of view) but out of the path of the beam. If he doesn't catch on immediately, you should have time to counterattack by Shaping a pit under his feet.

Yes, force-shape should work to create a shield out of rock. Making a shield out of ice would also work, with ice-shape. We could then launch the ice with force-force, I guess. Maybe even shatter it immediately before launching it, to result in a hard to dodge shotgun effect. Alternatively, we can just dodge.
If we had enough control we could shape ice into a mirror and reflect it at him... but that assumes it moves like light. So lets go with stone shield just to be safe.

There appears to be a yellow liquid oozing from the door. A trail of blood goes through the door, you can assume that the thief went that way. A faint buzzing can be heard.
OH GOD, BEES! Go left, the blood trail may be a trap.

Yeah read that as quickly as you can. Certainly seems like a rune, but I hope it's actually something useful like a Life, Gravity or reversal rune.

A creature shaped like that is just asking to be chopped in two. [Force]+[Shape] to make a long, guillotine-like section of the ceiling fall on them (remember to aim ahead of their current position, as they are moving forwards).
