It's cold tonight.
A draft rises through the floorboards of your old apartment, shuddering the planks in a dance you are all too familiar with. You've tangoed with the brisk air of October for nearly 80 years, and at this point few would be able to match the way your feet sway across the floor.

Your eyes glance to the window, steel wire lacing across the once luxurious panels of the frame, watching the quiet hustle of the night. Chicago keeps itself occupied at all hours, with a dignity matching the waves of Lake Michigan crashing upon the shores of the city.

If this were new to you, if anything were new to you, perhaps there could be some form of poetry you could pull from it. But there's no more poetry for you, no art, music, passion, or life. Instead, you can merely trace the shadows of what once was, shriveling into nonexistence with each rise of the sun.

Your name is Autumn, a member of Clan Lasombra.

Others refered to you as a Cainite, or a Kindred, but without the pomp and circumstance it all means the same thing.

You are a Vampire.

Tonight is just another night, of course, but the question still remains.

What do you do?

Perhaps it's time to find someone to mentor as your heir.
Maybe if you feel you feel drained and lost meaning to your life, maybe it's time to give someone else meaning and in turn, give yourself new meaning in life?
Turn into a bat, take flight to the Cloud Gate sculpture in Millennium Park.
Find a worthy heir to suck the blood of to become a vampire.
Someone lonely?
someone nobody would miss?
someone with nothing to lose?
whoever it may be, find some potential targets.

Are you related to Rayman? As for what you should do, get a hobby or do something crazy. With so many years of being a vampire you need to switch it up, do something you never did before. Maybe you will like it.

check to see if any of the clans under the masquerade have done something stupid that you'd need to watch out for. If so, you'll probably have to deal with it, if not, go to a bar and find yourself a "drink".

Ennui is torpor of the spirit.
Its ally is routine.
So.
What do you do?
Something you normally wouldnt.

A wander through places outside of your domain.
Find some glittering flickers of light in the dark and grey of the city and... be amongst them.
I suggest an all night diner with a large window to stare out of, to start.

Where do we stand with the greater Camarilla, Anarch, or Sabbat sects? Secondly, how is our hunger at the moment? Do we have a particular feeding habit we follow?

You need to find something different. Do something different. But to do that, you must be strong. Ready for anything. You must drink.

Alright, you have an apartment, just get a computer and become a YouTuber who pretends that they are a fake vampire. I don't know anything about Vampire: The Masquerade. I just wanted to contribute

>Where do we stand with the greater Camarilla, Anarch, or Sabbat sects?

You have a long and sordid history with the various sects that play chess with your existence, but grow old enough and you'll always reach that conclusion. Needless to say, a slide show of every step through your unlife's political identity would be...counter intuitive.

At one point, you were a member of the Sabbat, but times have changed and so have you. The cost of membership was high, but you paid it, and can now say that you are a citizen of the Camarilla

Currently, you are sitting at three status: Acknowledged, Loyal, Intuitive.

>Secondly, how is our hunger at the moment? Do we have a particular feeding habit we follow?
>Sounds like SOMEBODY needs a castle! Or a crypt.

You are quite sated, but suppose you could still eat. You are able to go out and hunt, but you've concocted a scheme that offers you much more regular livestock. Having crafted the lower half of your Haven into a museum of sorts, it's easy enough to pull an unassuming tourist to a room they hadn't suspected, and fill yourself gluttonous with their nectar.
Still, you always remember to refrain from drinking too deeply. Too heavy a meal will rouse suspicion, and that is the last thing you need.

>Perhaps it's time to find someone to mentor as your heir.

A echoing shiver rises through your spine, like a living memory of something you'd rather forget.

"How long have you been alone, Autumn?"

The nagging question- or maybe instinct - rises from within you. From the beast that only wishes to eat, kill, and fuck its way to survival. True, it has been years since you've shared the company of another, but the intimacy is a form of punishment in its own right.

Could you handle staring into the eyes of something so young and feeble, and watch as the love you force them to feel turns to disgust? It's happened before, but perhaps...this time it could be different?

You shake yourself free from the fantasy, realizing the much more pressing logistical issues.

To create a new kindred, to birth a childe, is covered under the Tradition of Progeny. Before any member of the Camarilla is able to bring new unlife into our world, they must receive the blessing of their Prince. To undermine this would be scandalous, and likely lead to the death of both sire and childe.

Still, the feeling lingers in your mind...it's unlikely to receive a positive response, but the right to ask for permission is available, if you want it.

>Go seduce a human on the verge of Awakening

NOPE.

You make a habit of avoiding wizards at the best of times. As the old adage goes: "They can turn us into fucking lawn chairs."

The closest you engage with that sort of mysticism is the blood mages of Clan Tremere, and that's always been more of a 'last resort' type of relationship.

After the situation in Mexico City, things got...complicated between you.

The thought lingers in your mind for a moment, a feint flitter of life seems to click into place. It's been awhile since you left the safety of your Haven for any reason other than politics. You'd almost forgotten that you were born with an often envied ability, you can actually savor food

Of course, you have to puke it up by the end of the night, or I suppose you could let it slowly rot in your gut until you eventually expel it...but probably best to get it all sorted in one go, eh?

The thought of visiting a few establishments around town brings a translucent glimpse of humanity that you've lacked recently. Plus while you're out, you might be able to see if any other kindred are sticking their noses where they ought not be.

...And who knows, perhaps someone you run into might be cause of brief amusment.

Now that you've decided to go out, you suppose it's time to consider your options. Off the top of your head, you can think of three locations.

1. Tesseract: A high end restaurant, usually visited by the elite of the city. Likely to have other Kindred present, specifically from one of the High Clans. Luxurious, but with the potential to get snubbed by those above you.
2. Beaters: A nightclub near the University of Chicago. Mostly for frat boys to mooch on rich blonde girls, and rarely visited by other vampires. Cheap fun, but you're likely to stick out.
3. Absolute Territory: A queer bar with emphasis on drag artists, punks, ravers, and goths. A loud and raucous party zone, popular with kindred of the Low Clans and the occasional Anarch. Lively, but could cause some friction if you have to deal with the wrong types.

While you decide, you take a mental check of yourself.

Now, where have you decided on?

>Tesseract,

make some contacts amongst the mortal to help spread awareness of your museum to both attract more costumers and snacks.
