The Sintani tribe have made an earth shattering observation, one that will impact the species and change history forever. They have observed that children resemble their parents.

This will be an experiment in game design as well as a quest.

Strongest and wisest of us all; Bear Manthorn has been named Cheiftain of the Sintani.

As tribal leader, you may communicate your will directly to Bear Manthorn. You can command and converse with him. The tribal leader will worship you as a god and will be remembered by future generations.

The Sintani Tribe has a population of 50 located on the banks of a great river. They are descended from a nomadic tribe that emigrated north.

They are primarily hunter gatherers, however the abundance of the great river has afforded them a more permanent settlement.

The natural geography of their camp, makes it easy to defend.

Males are specialised for Hunting ,fishing and gathering.
Males are broad chested, athletic and high in aggression.

Females: Average number of children: 5 (regionally low however infant survival rate is above average)
Specialised in gathering, light fishing, child rearing, taxonomy.

Females have small breasts, low body fat, low expression of secondary sex characteristics.

>>1111997
Individuals within the tribe are less relevant than the collective.
However, as we progress you may select individuals from different lineages for specific tasks and mate pairings.

It'd be funny and I wanna see what happens.

The scouts have returned with interesting information about the local environment.

To the North East, a small tribe of highly aggressive cannibals have taken residence in a rocky outcrop. Numbers estimated around 15. They appear primitive in nature and may not have tool use mastery.
They appear to keep their victims alive until they eat them.
They may pose a threat in the future.

Upriver to the west, a more permanent settlement in a well fortified valley. Their population looks to greatly exceed the Sintani. They seem tool use capable. Raiding them not advised. Scouts were able to identify two castes of women in this group.

Good question.

Yes and no. Some Cro Magnon and Neanderthal tribes may have some linguistic heritage similarities, but for the most part, communication is simple and limited between groups on first exposure.

If we have the men, equipment, and training for it, we should exterminate the cannibals. They're a cap to our population growth and scouting unless we make some sort of deal with them to eventually undermine and overtake the fortified village or allow passage so we can scout more and pincer them, but we don't know if they'd be willing to do that, and cannibalism is ultimately a dead end in civilization.

I think our long term goal should be to do just that, take the fortified village for ourselves. Exterminating the cannibals and taking their women to potentially lay the foundations of a warrior caste for niches and complex agriculture is something more immediate.

To make a long story short, how many fighting men do we have, are they well equipped, and are they well trained? I want to wipe the male cannibals from the face of the planet and take their women. The fortified peoples will like us for it, but I don't want to cut them in on the action.

If you are considering raiding the tribe of cannibals, here is some information about them:

Known as the Mazzk tribe. They are small in number but highly aggressive.
Their language is less sophisticated but they compensate with strength.
They are dark skinned and hirsute. They practice scarification.

The group of Mazzk that our scouts encountered had a population of about 15; 7 males and 8 females.
Children were not spotted in the camp.

Three captives from other tribes were spotted in their camp.

In order to raid and eradicate this group of Mazzk a raiding party equal to or greater than 15 Sintani males is recommended.

The terrain of the Mazzk camp makes a surprise attack viable.

Among the Sintani at present, there are 24 males, 26 females

>>1112177
Yeah lets not keep any females from that tribe to mate with if we get involved
>>
No. 1112184 ID: fd169b

More observation is needed. Strength is good, but if they are aggressive even among themselves then not a target for breeding.

given their aggression, it would be best not to fight if we don't need to, even if we outnumber them.

We should make friends with the large tribe. See if we can trade.

Oh, they're like Africans or Papua New Guineans. Yeah, I change my mind. I think we should just kill them all eventually. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like we have the manpower for total eradication. Making contact with the fortified people first seems like a good idea.

Bear Manthorn sends an emissary upriver to make contact with the western neighbours.

More information: Name: Aki tribe. Population: 300.
Hostile engagement not recommended.

The emissary returns after having been warded off.
Several of the Aki intimidated your emissary and made it clear he was not welcome.

I think we should send a large group of raiders to wipe out the cannibals. They're raiding other tribes, so we could gain some goodwill by rescuing the captives.

20 males and 10 females should suffice.

Now these people might be ones worth assimilating. Anyway, now that it seems like we don't have any other option, I'm seconding >>1112213. Sending women, who probably aren't trained to fight like the cannibals are, to exterminate the cannibals is probably a bad idea, though. I don't have anything to suggest otherwise. Sending all of the men to fight would be a horrible idea.

Motivated to destroy the threat of the cannibals and rescue the captives, a troop of 20 men were commanded by Bear Manthorn to ambush the Mazzk.

Scouting their camp from the high ground, the Sintani fighters observe that only one captive remains alive, an Aki female.

It appears that a few of the Mazzk are absent, adding to the Sintani advantage.

>>1112228
The Ika males are not especially small, they were just further behind the female.

>>1112235
Not a dock, but a primitive fishing pier. Boats have not been discovered by the Sintani at this time.

Catching them by surprise and overwhelming their numbers, the Sintani slaughter 5 of the 8 Mazzk cannibals. The last three turn tail and run.

The Mazzk are now scattered. They can no longer organise large raids on other tribes. Likelihood of encountering the Mazzk has decreased.

The Sintani incur only a few small injuries in the battle.
2 Sintani are lightly wounded.

The Sintani have rescued an Ika female.
This Ika female seems to be of a lower caste as she is not as fat as other females observed by Sintani scouts.

She is brought back to Chieftain Manthorn who must decide her fate.

(Your scouts are now able to explore further North)

Guess giving her back to the Aki to get on their good graces would be the way to go.

Send a pair of emmisaries to bring her back home and a group of scouts to explore further South. Let's see what awaits in more temperate latitudes.

Yeah, let's return the captive. Maybe we should've acted sooner...
>>
No. 1112328 ID: fd169b

Of course we should send her back to her home, with an escort in case any Mazzk try for revenge.

An escort of our most manly, handsome warriors. And if she just happened to want to get closer to one of them wellllll... interbreeding can sweeten relations between groups.

Agreed.
She is noted as low ranking.
If she is exile, welcome her.
Or if she resists returning, also welcome.

Giving her back to the Aki seems like the way to go. Since she's low caste, I doubt she knows much about their culture and weaknesses.
