>Ask to see it again, slower. It could easily be fake.
>Can i see that badge again?
>How about letting us see that badge at a legible pace?
Kaari: “Okay, instead of shining your badge in my face. Can you just let me read it?”
She pulls it out again, and holds it steady. Still shines in my face a bit, but at least I can make it out.
Kaari: “H.P.N.T: Chief Ranger.”
I have no idea how to tell if her badge is real or not. If I get the chance, I can radio that in to Judith to verify.
>Ask if she has a radio on her.
Kaari: “Do you have a radio on you, Chief Ranger Rosary?”
Rosary: “Yes. Why do you ask?”
Kaari: “Just a few moments ago, we had radioed in for Ranger Judith to come help us here. Lana-”
Rosary: “Now hold up, you radioed for another ranger? Where did you get a park radio to do that?”
Kaari: “She lent it to us. You can go radio her to verify that if you want.”
Rosary: “Yeah, let me just leave two suspicious individuals hanging around an un-permitted area, unsupervised. If I’m walking out of here, the two of you are coming with me.”
Lana: “Shouldn’t you have heard our emergency call to her yourself?”
Rosary: “There have been no alerts in the last hour to switch over to the emergency frequency on the radios. If you contacted her on her personal frequency, no one else would have heard. If that was the case though, she should have put out a request to tune into the emergency frequency.”
She looks the two of us over some more.
Rosary: “Don’t see any blood here, both of you are standing just fine. Please do tell me what your emergency was?”
This pushy attitude of hers is wearing a bit thin on me. She… she sounds like she knows the radio system pretty well though. Ugh, I don’t think I can tell if she’s faking it or just a jerk.
>she's pretty big so I think to prepare for that fight you're gonna want to use what's around you to help.
>Regardless of how she responds, tell her you’d rather wait for Judith or Pitchford to get you out.
If we end up having to fight, I don’t think I should tell her about Lana’s leg injury. Shifting my eyes around the room, I could probably flip the poker table over for cover. There’s a rusty pick-ax hanging up and a hard hat as well.
We could try stalling her for time instead. Keep trying to wait it out for Judith or Pickford to show up.
