Well, you have been working your mouth muscles quite a bit with smiles and frowns, so your cheeks hurting is probably the most mundane of your pains, really.

If it makes you feel better you can nudge things in a safer direction without getting too defensive. You just gotta have him thinking more about himself than you.
Start asking about his badges and how he got them, people like talking about their own interests.

Hey, maya.
You're gonna be ok.
Hes got a pure heart this guy.

You can let go of the tension youve been carrying, even if its just for a short time.
Compartmentalise everything.
The before and the worries about what may be, push them aside.
If you let those things crowd your mind, you'll have no room to absorb this respite you need.
Be present in this moment.
Take it all in.
Live in it.

...You got through it. I'm glad that you're feeling better, Maya. And you said you were getting better at handling it; that's a good sign! Not for our sake, I'll never blame you for your problems, but if it's getting easier to deal with, that means you'll get a handle on it sooner or later. And we'll always be here to help if you need us.

While the cute bunny is treating your injuries, would you like to... talk about things? Anything you want to get off your chest? Something we can do to help you feel better? Whatever it is, don't be afraid to ask.
>>
No. 1128613 ID: e058aa

It's going to be okay, Maya. Take things one step at a time. It's okay if you ask for boundaries from Swiss or anyone if you need them!! He seems to genuinely want to help you, but if you get scared or worried about stuff it's okay to say you're scared, too. I think he'll understand that at least.

Probably let him know about your hand first also... That one might be the most important wound to attend to at the moment.
>>
No. 1128985 ID: b18212

Maybe you could ask him to walk through what he's doing, like the first aid stuff, might ease your mind if you ask him to explain it while he's doing it, instead of assuming the worst and running with it until you have a panic attack.

Tehehe, you should kiss himmmmm

I mean he's being so nice and kind, and it's a good way to show thanks to a nice boy! Im sure he'd appreciate his efforts being appreciated even if your words don't work so good right now, it's a good compromise especially after breaking his bathroom mirror <3

YOU SHOULD KISS HIM

It's a good way to start this new friendship! First impressions matter the most y'know and he's still being so nice even after you tried to stab him! Im sure you can still make it even better with a big kiss! He's so cute too tehehe! He's so dumb he'll basically do whatever you want at this point without even questioning it tehehe!!

Maya.
I think the intrusive thoughts are back.
Well.
The other ones.
Not the mostly benign ones.
I guess im an intrusive thought too.
Wow.
Heavy.
Anyway, while im having non-existential crisis here, or whatever its called when your imagination starts doubting its reality, you focus on one little set of things.

Dont hump the bunny.
Dont kiss the bunny.
Let him help you.
Thank him.
Make a new, slightly naive friend who was kind enough to want to help you without getting something from you.
Be at peace for a moment.
Heal.

I am not the thought of humping. i am the thought of passively sniffing the air, observation and objectively true statements with rose tinted glasses or terrible scary truths, i am also the thought of snacking between meals like a small tortia chip with salsa and cheese in a microwave so it has that perfect crunch and elasticity that you can eat in 4 minutes 2 of those is letting it cool.

Its less scary to think about then the fact this little boy can completely and utterly overpower us with no effort at all without a clue, and he is cool but not as cool as Jayden who is as shown by actions and words ready to kill for our well being, and tolerates our weirdness which is pretty amazing like he dropped everything for us. Forgiven us for causing a crash more concerned about our well being.

I wouldn't call us intrusive more just honest and uninhibited, we can't help but think about these things cos it's fun and true, we're in your head and still haven't gone away despite the best efforts of the others parts of our mind, doesn't mean we're some invasive thing to be fought off, we're as much a part of you as anything else in your head, A part of you really can't deny or let go of the fact that getting all close to him while he dotes over us and cares so much sounds so exciting and really nice and it makes our heart flutter with good fuzzy feelingsss EEEEEEEEEEE KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS

it feels odd,

walking down this hallway again, having a moment to breathe. with everything else, i almost forgot the pain. there's... difficulty being able to describe what it feels like, reinternalizing all the sensations in my body. at least, that's what i think being 'present' is.

>>1128553
i... appreciate that. its funny, still having to consciously suspend my disbelief to talk to you guys, considering all that's happened.

>would you like to... talk about things?
i suppose, but youve been there for 'all that's happened, right? i guess if there's one thing i wanna get off my chest, it's that im in pain. im not even sure how fully aware of it i am. there's a dull throbbing under my lip, a puncture. i actually forgot that i bit it back in the car with jaden. i dont even remember why, was it from stress or something? i keep instinctively licking it.

a jagged naked-feeling sharpness, various rough carvings through my body, like someone tried amputating me with an old handsaw but ran out of time. weirdly, it feels kinda similar to the cuts on my left hand from the mirror. i guess that makes sense, but it hurts a lot more using my hand than everything else.
cuts on my arms, one on my back of the wrist. and two on my right leg. they stopped bleeding pretty quickly, i suppose they didn't hit any arteries, or maybe im just great at clotting (is that the right word?).

not to mention the cut on my... whatever the side of the head, right under the ear is, i keep fiddling with it. i know i shouldnt. it feels not good. and its throbbing, a lot. i didnt have a chance to take a good look at it in the mirror, i was distracted by my black eye. fuck, i got used to the swelling really quickly. i almost forgot i even had that.
i dont know why i feel so calm. im in a weird stress and pain homeostasis. i dont know if im using that word correctly.

i think that's a mechanic of stress? being in a daze dulls it?

k.kisses?
i. i mean. id assume thats weird, but also what do i know? i know there's formal ways to kiss, right? like on the cheek, or something. its hard trying to think of a way to kiss thats neither 'too weird' or 'not enough'. cause if i just peck his hand or something he might get offended, or see me as rude for thinking that'd make up for it. on the other hand, i feel like being too passionate with the kissing would make me look gross, being really into him instead of just apologetic.

Im sure one of these folks has somewhere to sleep, this chair is comfy enough, especially since we're DEFINATLY not going "home" at this point, despite everything- the sudden flood of that feeling, that feeling of safety, warmth and "belongingness", feeling actually Okay for once, even with teacher he still didn't make us feel like, actually safe, but here, it kinda feels all worth it y'know-

Mmmm-

It's really nice, we could get used to that feeling for sure- And seeing Swiss more often too- It just all sounds good

Don't worry about what you owe him. You don't have to feel guilty about getting the medical care you need, or for being yourself. And you don't owe anyone your love! That's not what it's for! Honestly, I'm worried about whoever taught you to think like that. But you don't have to worry, Maya! You're injured and getting medical care; it's perfectly okay to make this about yourself.

Just relax and ponder this. Would you like to show him affection? If you think you would, then go right ahead. Enjoy his company! Look at his cute face, pet his ears, maybe even ask him for a kiss if you want. There's no shame in indulging yourself with someone who likes you.

If not, then all you have to do is rest and recover. If you need some time alone, don't be afraid to ask him. He'd be happy just to know you're safe and comfortable. That's the best thing you can do for someone who cares about you.

I have a feeling that interpreting medical care from someone who compared treating you to the act of treating a feral cat as romantic gestures is probably not a good thing to do.
Maybe you can think about whether you like him or not after the suspension bridge effect dies down.
You've just met him, things don't tend to move that quickly. Besides, kissing is the kind of thing you only get away with at higher levels of friendship. You'll have to spend enough time with him after medical care to graduate from the hurt animal stage.

That warmth could be dangerous, have you read omegaverse? What if Swiss is an alpha and you're an omega, was that the case, it should be avoided at all costs, it's the most boring type of omegaverse relationship.

...It's probably not that and just some emotion that you can worry about later though. You should calm down, you don't actually need to do anything in particular right now other than allow Swiss to treat your wounds.

If you want to help pass the time you can always just make some conversation and try to zone out into it so it all feels less weird.

Try asking him something like what's his favorite type of youtube video

You should mention the throbbing pain beneath your ear. Beside being a cut that likely needs desinfectant and you can't see directly, there might be other cuts you can't see in a mirror.

Your leg injuries are also worth checking or disinfecting. Ask if you can get some wads of cotton soaked with disinfectant / rubbing alcohol. You can then use those to clean your own wounds, if you feel uncomfortable about Swiss doing it. It will sting like a bitch but that's just how it goes if you don't want infections.

The bad news you might need to mentally prepare for is the likelyhood you need to visit a medical hospital. Swiss's first aid can only do so much to help your car accident injuries from properly healing, or for things like concussions or similar physical trauma.

After Swiss is done with his first aid, ask for 911 or an ambulance to be called.

This advice should help your body properly recover.

yyeah. he... doesnt like he's the worst boy around. seems to know what he's doing, he's only giving me a "stinging but cleaning" pain rather than a "OW OW OW STOP!!!" pain. somehow he continues relaying what hes doing while staying focused, although im not sure if its on purpose.

he seems rather skilled, especually in contrast to his,,, more 'youthful' personality.
mmn,, although maybe i of all people shouldnt be judging someone's characteristics by their appearance. treat others how you want to be treated and all that.
maybe 'simpleminded' would be a better descriptor? is that nicer?? i mean,,, id rather be referred to as simpleminded then as a 'little girl', i suppose.

Why is there one with a pair of lips?
Why is that one in the upper right someone HAPPY they're in like, a headlock?
The cliff? What?
And I'm not even gonna ask about the rope one, my mind is waaaaay too far in the gutter.

It really wouldn't be a terrible idea to have someone with medical-ish experience check under your hoodie. Well. He seems like he knows what he's doing, and we dont know too much either. But maybe thats not the time for that yet. Check stock. sure you're feeling okay?
Check for bruises and whatnot. You seem okay but.. You never know with these things, do you?

Also ask about the knot badge. That seems funny. He knows how to tie stuff. Ain't that neat.

tbh knots are just an important part of outdoorsmanship

maya i hate to break it to you but you might need to actually teach this kid something really uncomfortable.

think of it not just in the context of this event, but as a service to prevent future mishaps with other people. you're doing him a favor!
>>

the decision to use a figure eight knot to presumably represent a knot tying achievment is interesting. the typical knot you would see would be the square or coral knot or maybe some sort of sheetbend depending on context, knots that are both more useful and exemplify the knots ability to tie two things together, to form connection.

the figure eight knot is tied on one single length of rope, and while not useless by any means, mucb lower on the use case then many. even doubling the figure eight knot as is used in mooring and rapelling would solve both these issues (not that you would want to double a figure eight if it wasnt the same rope, but maybe if it was similair enougb it wou!d be passable). as it is, the stand alone figure eight is normally used to as a stopgap to prevent a rope from going through an opening its thread through, a very mundane task that nearly any sufficently large knot could accomplish.

i wonder what it says about this scout outfit this chap is amember of if the traits chosen to be exemplified are isolation and aesthetic above usefuleness. maybe thats why his eyes are so dreamy but he sucks ass at firt aid, whatever

What if the Cliffside Pathfinders are a cult. I've heard sometimes...umm.. inappropiate things happen with scouts. I mean think about it, its leaving a bunch of pent up male kids alone in a forest with some male authority figures. Ehem. Maybe just ask for what the most challenging badge was

Wow that cat similar to Maya on the badge being choked out seems excited being scooped up against a manly armpit and bulging biceps so large they swallow up there upper torso, overpowering them in a warm embrace with there back against the mans crotch.

There is also a badge with a big dog behind a small cat, hmm helping someone smaller or younger?.

Big knots are understandable even if a niche knot.

Cliff could be Climbing.

But what can a pair of luciouse lips mean.

Damn it all of this reminds of jayden, big dog, knot, small cat, kissing, cliff, chokeing

Also if you are being examined by a medical care person... You do need the understanding you need to undress so they can find all injuries like bruises or broken ribs that have gone numb, or look at your spinal placement, take off your socks so you can see if you have any broken toes or cuts there. Even just being in only a shirt would be helpful to see injuries instead of being swallowed up by a hoodie its this or going to the hospital, so undress Infront of this pretty boy

Swiss seems to be a 'pure of heart, dumb of ass' kind of boyscout. Could even have a case of ADHD. Don't say that aloud.

Asking him about what the badges represent / how he earned them is a good next step. Some of them look legit (mountain one for climbing, knot one for knowing how to tie a rope properly). The smiley face and lipstick one seems more like something he added himself for cool points (much like how kids add badges to their backpacks).

Him repeating his instructions suggests he's working off memory or instructions, or its his way of handling a difficult situation / focusing rather than getting distracted (if the ADHD theory is correct).

To be fair MOST boy scout orgs act like 'wholesome cults' with how they're structured. Swiss being very into it could just be scout pride.

And it's a bit dark to assume the first boyscout you met got groomed by a bad kind of scout group. You're not a magnet for socially malajusted/mistreated people, and such dark assumptions will just lead to assuming every structured society is comprised entirely of evil people (which is clearly untrue).

Swiss seems to have good or innocent intent to help you, but he's working on autopilot so remind him if he starts crossing lines, or make small compromises to let treat your wounds.

Ask about all of them in turn. And don't assume the worst or dark intent about any of them. Being a boy scout he could have gotten them years ago, as a pre-teen or such, for things that would make a kid feel pride and accomplishment.

For example, the knot one is likley for rope tying, which is a vital scout skill (and while unnerving, it doesn't mean he ever tied people up, more likely just sticks and tents). The smiley face could be... Literally that. Positivity/good behavior. And so on.

Best way to explain to him your apprehensions is like dealing with a pet cat, who don't like belly rubs. That you are are likely to panic or lash out because you consider some spots 'vital areas', and you always feel 'in danger'.

In other words, don't rub a cats belly unless you want to get scratched and bitten.
